Mulholland drive was a failed pilot that was later turned into a film, the pilot featured many henchmen and killers, much of this material was left on the page and unused even after the film was made which may help explain why twin peaks return takes place in so many cities and features so many hitmen

HaHa! Thanks for posting this. I was on the crew as an uncredited production assistant for episodes 4-6 (pilot + 6 episodes) and actually shot some of the black and white footage used on the show with a VHS video camera, Great cast and crew! And an ABC TV budget in 1992! There was a lot of fun and laughter on that set with all those great character actors (David, Chuck, Irwin and Miguel RIP) and all the show's crazy gags. It was just too weird for network TV in 1992.
@slackingoff943 жыл бұрын
Wow that's incredible. I would have killed to be on that set. I'm so glad to hear it was a good show to be on. Do you remember how people felt about shooting it? Did the cast/crew seem optimistic about its future 6 episodes deep?
@joshwilltraveladventuresco54523 жыл бұрын
@@slackingoff94 It was a fun and happy set. The ABC TV Budget meant great food and craft service (snacks) and everyone was being paid well. The cast knew they were going to be "cancelled" around episode 4, but. they were still having a good time on set.

Several years ago, all 7 episodes of On The Air were available on KZbin. Unfortunately, they seem to have been pulled off since then. But, I did get to watch all 7 episodes and really liked them. I love David Lynch's sense of absurdist humor.

Surprised you didn't mention that originally Blinky was supposed to be blind. But they realized Mr. Magoo humor was no longer PC so Lynch had to pivot to the, "He sees too much," to save the character.
@slackingoff9410 күн бұрын
Where is this info because I've seen a couple ppl say this now and I never found it when I initially did research for this vid. I'm not doubting you btw, I just love learning more about this show!
@thomholbrook728610 күн бұрын
@slackingoff94 I'm not sure where to find it online. I just remember it in the news when the show came out. First about Blinky being almost blind and then having jokes about it. That probably leaked from test screenings. And then there were stories about Lynch having a fix. And finally it aired and sight impaired people were not exactly pleased with the "fix." I actually think I might know where to find info on that stuff. Maybe. Let me check.

Is the Germanic director Lynch’s idea of Herzog?
@DethronerX Жыл бұрын
I love the show and all the characters, Angelo's music and all the craziness and even Jack Fisk and Lesli Linka Glatter directing episodes, but nothing beats Lynch directed madness, but throughout, its hilarious, i just found EP 6 a bit boring and I was expecting Lynch to direct the last EP, but he didn't, although, it did have some Lynchian vivbes, but more silly than Lynchian, kind of like how Twin Peaks tried to be Lynchian without Lynch actually directing, but overall, Id buy the DVD
