I remember On The Air! It was a show that you had to actually sit up and pay close attention to because of how densely packed the episodes were.

Ayy just learned about Marshall McLuhan in my uni's Media Studies class this semester I find it great when you learn things and just hear them namedropped and know what's meant by it. That's why I hate this: Why am I learning this I'll never need it mentality Love your videos, they are such an interesting look at media analysis

On the air is what convinced me that twin peaks is actually a comedy.

Speaking of lesser known shows, and weird shows, that last got me wondering: Have you ever seen The Fuccons (Oh! Mikey in Japan)? MTV had a good show that ran at night in the late ‘90s called The Sifl and Olly Show. And in the 2000s MTV2 ran a really great sketch comedy show called Wonder Showzen.

I saw On The Air years back, and thought it was interesting... but just not all that funny. As you say, the first ep was the best. To me, it felt like they didn't have any good idea what to do with the concept long-term. BTW, you might also like a forgotten 90s movie called "Radioland Murders," a 30s-style screwball comedy about a radio broadcast gone very wrong. It's uneven, but has some great moments.

I deeply appreciate this type of content please continue, please accept this recommendations of "Pretty Things" (200, a 2 season never* aired show by two nyu film students Micahel Lucid (brains) and Amanda Barrett (beauty) which feels like an oddball-core version of an "All That" style mixed sketch show

I remember reading about this show and thinking to myself: "I wonder how long before they make a video essay about this".

"Unwind with the Sweeties" has to be the weirdest TV show I've ever seen. It gives "Teletubbies" a run for its money.

First off great video love David Lynch. But are you not the guy who made two videos making fun off oriemo and eromanga sensie because those were really funny but I can’t find them on your channel. Maybe I’m just dumb

I just finished eating a banana when the Sweeties clip started. I don't know if I want this banana in me anymore
