Feel sorry for you Nicky. No chance of getting the point across to people who aren't willing to listen. We have been getting lucky results all season, we were bound to get battered at some point. Defending for 90 minutes with 2 attackers on the pitch makes it very hard to win games and not concede. We as West Ham fans are not saying we should be higher up in the league that we currently are, we just want to enjoy the football we watch each week. Haven't won a single game this year, and two of those games were against Bristol City... Thanks for the trophy and European football Moyes, but you have to go.

For clarity, WHU spent almost all of last season in the bottom 3. Moyes the managerial genius was unemployed for the whole 18 months from leaving us to returning, NO ONE, in any division, in any country wanted this tactical master! We were favourites to win the Euro competition, bookies are seldom wrong especially when we played tough teams like Larnaca Airport en-route. The defensive manager everyone praises, has lost more games than any other manager in Premier league history, Fact! West ham have been overachieveing all season. How we don't concede 3 a game is amazing. We defend for our lives against absolutely everyone and try and play on the break. It's the 3rd time we've been spanked this season, and he doesn't have a clue what to do when it's happening. Ben Johnson was so ineffective that they moved Ben White into the center of the park, leaving Johnson with the freedom of the London Stadium and Moyes couldn't see it to react to it. Thanks for the memories, but managers have evolved. In-game management is massive as Arteta proved. That tweak with White just opened us up and set Odegaard free. Moyes isn't capable of that against ANY team.

The problem is the defensive/counter attacking style. Stats always showing per game 30% possession. The defense is looking tired taking all the pressure. You can't keep that system going. You have to change up when at home. Away games, yes play that way, but home games, the team should not look like the away side. Zouma looks shattered and tbh, he looks like his knees have gone. There is no plan B with Moyes' style. I got nothing against Moyes, he has got us into Europe, but so did Greenwood and Lyall plus FA cup wins. Moyes says, "its West Ham's best time." No, it's not. I can't even remember the game v Fiorentina in the Euro Micky Mouse Cup. Only Bowen's great goal. Yet the 2006 Cup final I can still see. Because it was a classic. We lost on Pens, but we were freaking fantastic that game. They Boys of 86. It's all still in our minds. I'm sorry, but the only game that is memorable for Moyes, is the 6-0 drubbing last Sunday. On the Bournemouth fan channel, they were slating us for the grief we're giving Moyes, the usual "Oh but West Ham are 6th, why are they moaning." After the game, they were stating, "Oh year, we can see why they're pissed off. West Ham were really bad." That says something. The problem is, all you pundits are not watching the games, you just look at the table. When we had Bilic in charge at Upton Park and Payet was the main man. We didn't win a trophy, but the football was f**king excellent. Being a Hammers fan, is not just winning, it is seeing the team play silky, fast attacking football. I've seen many games where we have lost, but they still got a standing round of applause, for giving their all. Plus, I keep hearing, "West Ham are a small club." No, not anymore. Only Man Utd have a bigger average attendance than West Ham. Teams shouldn't sit and accept mid table every season. Leicester didn't and broke the hold on the same boring outcome every year. Say that to the Villa fans, "Oh you shouldn't be this high." I bet they're loving their season. And good luck to them, I hope they win their game in hand, and get that 4th spot back. Fed up with the big six thinking they have a divine right to be in that top six.

On the conference final fiorentina had a squad worth 200m compared to our 400m. We should have walked that competition and rightly did. No one is taking away what Moyes has done for us over the last 4 years but ‘it’s time to go’... From the outside in, you've got no context.. David Moyes relys hugely on insane moments and world class players rather than a whole team working well as a system. Antonio in form the first season, Jesse Lingard loan spell, Paqueta and Bowen, now we've added Kudus. ALL of which have out performed their xG and expected impact from any perspective and we've got lucky with teams not taking chances against us (xGA). He's been lucky and riding a wave for ages and it would have been more shocking to lose the conference league than win it given we were huge favourites. Any other possession and attacking minded coach with the time he's had and money he's spent would hsve us AT LEAST in the same spot we are but with higher quality of team play.

If Moyes wants to stay as West Ham manager and potentially get them to new heights he needs to bring in an assistant coach that will be better at dealing with higher quality players focused on better football in terms of patterns of play and attacking structures. SAF, Pep, Mourinho have all had assistant coaches who have helped them to extract the best out of the multiple different squads they have had. Moyes shouldnt feel anyway about doing the same. I would love to see carrick undertake that role and i actually think it will put him in better stead to manage a top club than sticking around at middlesborough

One thing about the current discussion around of West Ham’s league position that is often overlooked is the fact that we are 13th in the Xp table. We have been riding our luck for a while, and this is pretty clear to most West Ham fans, Nicky is spot on saying that this result was coming. When pundits question why some West Ham fans want Moyes gone and simply point at the league table, it’s a disingenuous argument because how many of them actually think we’ll end up 6th/7th at the end of the season. Moyes is statistically the best West Ham manager of my life and I will forever be grateful to him for our trophy, but he’s also had by far the most money to spend of any West Ham manager of my life. I don’t know if Moyes can get more out of this squad, I’m not a Sporting Director, but if he can’t I don’t think it’s unfair to not renew his contract at the end of the season and look to try bring in a manger to help us challenge for the next level.

The bad news for David Moyes is that the technical and creative side of English football is improving very very fast and teams all over England can now keep the ball and progress the play even against hard pressing teams like Arsenal MC Liverpool etc.(Finishing is now the difference maker) David Moyes does not know or believe in this method of play hence West Ham does not have this tool in the locker to draw on even to give the defense a few minutes of rest and to get the team up the field into good attacking position. No one is arguing that Moyes has done a good job before... At some point the time comes when things can't go any further. And in this constellation the maximum has apparently been reached. I can understand the West Ham supporters if, despite a successful time, they want to see something more refreshing and attractive than the Moyes style! You just have to be clear in advance about the direction you want to go! You get a Tim Steidten who can bring good young people out of nowhere and convince them about a project, so to speak. The complete opposite of Moyes in principle. How is that supposed to work? The club owner is ultimately the problem. You have to be able to make clear decisions, even uncomfortable decisions, and above all, set a clear direction! Of course, there is no guarantee of success if you want to go a different route with younger, unknown players. But it's something different, not always the same and predictable, which makes people tired, especially when it's unattractive.
