Great response...as the story goes, David heard Alida playing some notes just to warm up on her violin. Those notes gave him the idea for this song! We David Phelps Phans understand why you are lost for words and why you are so touched by his music. It's because he "sings the song with his voice but tells the story with his heart"!

I was at this filming of Classic and, as you might imagine, it was jaw-dropping and stunning. Seeing David live is life changing; it certainly has changed mine. You need to make the effort by any means possible. A Barn Bash event at his home is David at his very best.

Yes!! Yes!! Yes!! Listen to Judy, Lyle!!!!! WHEN you come over here (we're going to stay positive!), you've simply GOT to make it at one of the Barn Bashes, and for more reasons than one. First, if you're gonna make it aaaaaaall the way over here, well, then, shoot--ya might as well make it to his backyard!!! Second, we phans have come to love you and want to meet YOU as well. While there's always a handful of us at each concert, EVERYONE tries to be able to meet up and catch up (when there's actually more time) with each other at one of the TWO day weekend Barn Bashes, especially the Labor Day one (end of August/beginning of September) or the Christmas Barn Bash (usually sometime around the first 2 weeks of December). Over the years at these Barn Bashes we've created our OWN various get-togethers when we're not over at David's...and trust me when I tell you that when you finally make it to one of these, YOU'LL be the star!! Seriously--you have no idea just how loved you are in our phamily. And third, you can bet that there will always be one of us to gladly volunteer to chauffeur you around, showing you different "DP Landmarks" close by such as the Campbell Station Restaurant & General Store where on the Friday night before the 2 weekend concerts (complete with dinners each night, btw) many of us meet for phriendship and a heckuva great down home, phamily meal of Yowie-sized proportions as well as a good--better make that AWESOME--time. You'll never laugh so much after hearing all of our different "DP Stories" over the years, such as when he once went to give a little "extra oooomph" to a note......and kicked off one of his shoes......where it landed in the lap of a lady on the front row......and THEN he had to climb down off the stage to retrieve it!! Hahaha!!

Another phenomenal performance!!! And yes, when you're the best and sing with the best, we get so spoiled to hearing too notch every single time!!!! If David and his backup singers sound like this, I cannot wait until we are all singing in God's heavenly choir!!!!!!!! I used to have an older Pastor and when he was preaching and got excited, he'd say "Hold my mule while I shout!!" Tears would be streaming down his face. That's one of the many emotions David makes me feel when he sings certain songs!! Today is Friday...I am so glad you haven't said this week is over yet!!!💜🎶💜

You seem to really enjoy the harmonies, search on you tube for “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go” it’s from the Austrailian Homecoming Tour. It’s acapella and amazing. Before David joined the vocal group they hadn’t done any acapella, but because David had experience in arranging he was responsible for all the acapella the vocal band did after he started with them in 1997. It’s exceptionally good as is everything Davis does.

I have to make this point my brother, the violinist was warming up and doing theater exercises and he told her to stop he loves that and wrote this song off of those warm up exercises. Just incredible. I thought you would appreciate that and Mr Phelps is a graduate of Baylor University
