David Phelps is one of the best tenor voices out there. From his days with The Gaither Vocal Band to his solo career, dude has serious range, power, and both vocal as well as breath control. Check out No More Night, End of the Beginning and an absolute MUST (that you really should do a reaction to...hint, hint) is Oh Holy Night live. Trust me, if you like vocals and chills this one will NOT disappoint!!

This was filmed in Birmingham... David filmed two dvd concerts that night. He really is one of the best male vocalists--ever. You should do some more reactions to him, you'll be blown away. Of course, for Christmas, his O Holy Night is one of the best versions in existence. Other great ones you'll love... I Have Nothing, No More Night, We Shall Behold Him, The Dream, Let Freedom Ring... there's no shortage of awesome live performances to choose from. He's performed all over the world from the Grand Ole Opry to the Sydney Opera House... you're gonna love listening to him. Enjoy!

David is a gospel singer primarily, but will venture out to secular songs. He has been referred to as the greatest tenor on the planet. ABSOLUTE MUST you need to hear is O Holy Night, No More Night, Let Freedom Ring (with Gaither Vocal band) and his cover of Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing. He actually sang that on same octave as Whitney did! Unbelievable when he hits that D5. He really is perhaps the greatest vocalist on the planet for many reasons. Please react to him more. Thanks

Great song and reaction. This is one I have worked with in studio before. His range is amazing and as someone else said one of the best tenors out there. Sang most of his career with Gaither Vocal band before doing any solo work. Works and records mostly with Bill Gaither ( a gospel music icon). Thanks for reacting to this. I have not heard it before. Actually, David had a solo career long before he joined the Gaither Vocal Band. His first solo album, "Journey to Grace," was released in 1992, about five years before he joined GVB.

@@SchoeneTante Yes ,he started while in school at Baylor. Me and David are almost the exact same age. He started with Bill Gaither in 1997. Therefore most of his career has been either singing with the Gaither Vocal Band or recording with Bill Gaither for his solo career.. All the guys have had solo careers before and after being with Gaither Vocal Band. Bill Gaither is a very big songwriter and producer in Christian music industry along with his wife. He has a huge studio on his property in Indiana that is very nice if you haven't been there. If you are a singer or musician it is a great experience to get to work at those studios.

'Oh Holy Night' is how most people become aware of David. Live at the Alabama Theatre is the one to hear.(he's wearing the green sweater) The late Anthony Berger is the extraordinary pianist on this piece. You'll NEVER regret it!

Whitney Houston's version of the Star-Spangled Banner at Super Bowl XXV will always be the best rendition for me. Most of the time I would get emotional whenever I see it. And to top it off, it was the year USA was at War in Iraq and the NFL contemplated on canceling the Super Bowl that year, making her rendition more memorable than any other rendition in my opinion.

There are so many Live Performances of David Phelps the are textbook examples of how to absolutely use every God Given Ability to praise Him in Song. David sang the 1st and last verse of the Star Spangled Banner. The 2nd verse is not very complimentary to the British. That's why he didn't sing the 2nd verse.

I was just expressing my opinion in a previous post but oops someone's feeling seem to have been hurt. They replied then apparently erased their rely. Look I'm an American and a veteran but I'm also honest. I love our Anthem and various versions of it but I didnt like this one. I'm NOT a PC guy, I tell the truth when I like something and also when I don't like something. Hurt feels are never the intention but if it happens.....Maybe you should have been brought up telling the truth.
