I am learning/preparing this suite. This gold standard recording is essential - the camera angles are a tremendous gift and the audio recording quality is phenomenally good. Thank you Mastro David I must visit this part of Spain and this monastery. I can wander around old churches for hours. The performance is impeccable as always and it would be great if you could record these Suites as it would be amazing to have these on CD.I think you are the greatest living classical guitarist and I try to get something vaguely approaching your tone!. I wish you would come to the UK more often. I play the organ and piano too so would love to hear that instrument.

Great work, Maestro. I would like personally just few more breaths, but this is a top rendition. We met in Rome, I think was 1998, in one of your masterclass: I played Ponce Sonatina Meridional. This Suite 995 I brought for my diplome in the far 1986, then I left it to play the other Bach Suites, all gems, but I still think this is the most "lutenist" despite derived from the cello. So now this video is like a masterclass to take it back in my hands. Really impressive the presto. Many thanks for your share Maestro Russell. Let me know if you will play in Rome, best wishes.
