It's often said of Jimi Hendrix that he could make the guitar talk. David Gilmour can make his guitar sing, cry, wail and scream. Nobody plays guitar with so much emotion and soul as David. He is absolutely unique. Often imitated but never equalled

Jimi could imbue his guitar with the raw emotions of the time... he wasn't a "precise" guitarist by any means, but you can feel the emotion. David is like taking that emotion and focusing it right into your soul. I don't think they can really be compared, but I *do* prefer David's "every note has to mean something" approach.

Apologies are not needed for such a human reaction to beautiful music and sentiments. You have fulfilled the songwriters' and musicians' efforts to make us FEEL and become AWARE. Pink Floyd is such an "immersive" band. EDIT: I'm blown away when the "Sisters" cannot be out-decibel-ed by the rest of the band. Never apologize for experiencing any kind of emotion while listening to Pink Floyd, your tear involuntarily rolled from your eye as soon as you comprehended the meaning of that phrase. The great mystery of Pink Floyd has always been how each song can mean one thing to one person and completely something else for someone else, it is genuinely a very interpersonal experience. And it can mean something different altogether tomorrow, making their music truly timeless.
