I hate that this poor man will have to go through this every two years when he's already been through so much unimaginable pain and sorrow. I remember when it happened. I was a teenager and I had two little nephews, from my older sister, that were their age. The youngest was only a month younger than Alex. They were the light of our family's life. I couldn't understand, still don't understand, how someone could do that to their own babies. Now my nephews are in their 30's, good men with careers and families of their own. I can't help but wonder what could have been for Michael and Alex. That evil woman never deserves to be free, ever!!

I remember this case so well. Not only did she kill the children but she made their father go out and plead to find them and then after they were found dead to find their murderers. To top it off she blamed it on black men. That poor father. His pain and loss is forever. It was also telling that she never told him she was sorry or regretting anything. OMG. Keep that evil woman behind bars until she leaves this earth and faces the ultimate judge.

The legacy of pain she created and left behind is immense. Firstly her poor husband, who with incredible strength is still standing and fighting today. There are also the other family, relatives and friends who knew these gorgeous children. There are the people of that town who remain horrified still, especially whose of the black community who she unjustly accused of the murders, and finally there are the first responders who had to go and find the boys in the sunken car. None of them will ever forget that or those innocents. This woman should never, ever be released.

David Smith makes himself out to look like the innocent victim. He does not deserve to have a loving wife and supporters while his ex-wife Susan rots in prison. Susan Smith did what she did from a state of severe depression and sadness desperately looking for the love she never had had and could not give herself. David Smith is the real criminal for turning his back on his ex-wife and demonizing her. Sheila Warren, another woman who murdered, dressed up like a clown and killed her lover's wife so they could be together. After seven years, Warren was released and is now free. She is far more despicable than the way Susan is perceived. I have no respect for David Smith who has no real integrity himself. He may not be guilty of murder, but he played a role in his infidelity and immaturity during his relationship with Susan Smith that had a great ill and negative impact on Susan Smith. We live in a sick society that feeds off the guilt and sins of others like Susan Smith, and then paints a picture of sweetness, devotion, and innocence for those like David Smith. That is BS at its finest. If Susan does not deserve forgiveness, then neither do you.

Thank you for having the courage to go against all these other predators that see David Smith as sweet, innocent, and can do no wrong, and who see Susan as despicable and evil. If Susan Smith is to be resigned to a life of punishment with love and forgiveness withheld, so should David Smith. He does not deserve to have a loving wife while Susan rots. Look at him. He has the support of a loving wife and family, and the entire world is on his side, yet he cannot find the strength to forgive his wife. I will go so far as to say he is far more evil than the way his ex-wife is perceived to be. He cannot heal himself from the pain of his children's death, yet he demands that Susan show remorse and sorrow while at the same time she is hated and despised by him and the world. Now that is true evil, not what Susan Smith did.
