You know what's crazy? Last night when the first monologue video was published, I saw Dana in the thumbnail and thought " Hey David Spade is hosting this week! Love that guy" and proceeded to watch it, only to be (somewhat, barely) disappointed that it wasn't him. Then I sign into KZbin this morning and this video pops up. He's actually interviewing Spade! Dana has always been one of my favorite comedians! The old SNL was the greatest....chuch lady was one of my all time favorites! SNL now is not what it used to be!

I’ve been watching SNL since it began in 1975... I was 8. (Yes... my parents watched and didn’t mind if I did! I’d just act like I didn’t get some things when I totally did! Like “Jane you ignorant slut!l” or the Titian skit! SNL is how my friends and I fell in love with Carlin and Steve Martin!) There’s always a phase when folks say “aw- it’s not what it used to be.” At 53, I love the current cast! Have there been some seasons where the cast just didn’t click? Yep! Sure! The mid-1980’s when I was in high school wasn’t stellar but I have always been a fan. But as they say about the weather in Colorado- just wait 5 minutes... SNL is a major part of my entertainment life. And still is. Will always support those people! Doing what many of us can’t or won’t! Everything from “I’m Chevy Chase and you’re not” to Colin and Che! From Cheeburger to Kate McKinnon’s alien abductions! And the wonderful Leslie Jones! Always finding someone new! Like Halsey and Lizzo-amazing hosts! I’ve found new folks I might not have otherwise. I adore the evolution!
