David's sense of timing and phrasing is amazing. I'd love to see some of the shredders play with this much musicality.

David T Walker is an American treasure. About 10 years ago he played on Ed Motta's AOR album and sat in while Ed sang "Dondi". Very unmistakable style.

One of my favorite guitarists and biggest influences...DAVID T!!! You know the sound; you know the songs: "If You Think You're Lonely Now"; Anita Baker's "Angel"; Gerald Levert's "Pop Goes My Mind"...and a whole slew of Barry White, Marvin Gaye, and Crusaders songs.

Come to think of it, David T. is also the lead guitarist on the 1974 MARVIN GAYE LIVE ALBUM! He does some great playing on the show opening tune, and does some great playing on THIS song which closed that album. In fact, that trill that he hits at 3:58? He does it at the very end of "What's Going On?" on that live album.

I stumbled across Mr. Walker's music accidentally. I was reading an obituary for Jim McCrary this morning. He was a photographer for A&M Records and in looking at his portfolio I saw this picture of a guitarist with a big afro that had be taken in the 70's. So being the jazz and blues freak that I am I had to do a search and here I am. I must say Mr. Walker I am just stunned. I may not be able to buy your cd's but I will spend the rest of my morning downloading your mp3's. I love the internet.
