Taylor & Dake are such awesome wrestlers, they bring real excitement to the mat for the fans. I see only good things can come from the new rules that force the action, then add great competitors. This is the infusion our sport has needed for some time, because it's so good for veterans as well new people coming to our sport to watch and promote, hats off to both gentlemen.

Great match! And the announcers are so random talking about his socks! Loved this a lot.

Taylor is such a great wrestler, but he just can't outsmart Dake or Burroughs.

Dake may very well be the 2nd best 74kg wrestler in the world. And that's just 1 year into a senior level freestyle career. Hes only gona get better. Hes gona have a tough time beating Burroughs no matter what but he may pull it off at least once. Either that or he should just wrestle at 70kg in non-Olympic years, get himself a world title or 2. One thing Dake has over Burroughs is those awesome upper body Greco-ish throws.

@ods1ODS 10 жыл бұрын
***** But......70kg is 154 pounds. Dake wrestled at 157 as a junior and heading into his senior year said he didn't anticipate getting any bigger and would only move up to 165 if the team needed him to.

Taylor always loses to Dake when they wrestle, it's gotta be some mental barrier

There were a few times in this match where they were both scrambling well, but Dake's strength advantage over Taylor made the difference. The last takedown really showcased it pretty well I think, Dake just overpowered him.

Scratch that... On another note, I have a slight assumption that non-wrestling fans were surprised that Dake won national college male athlete of the year. If only people knew! I mean I cannot even comprehend what goes on in his head when his shoes touch the mat. Legend.

DT’s biggest mistake was becoming friends with Dake and training with him. He could probably have stole a match or two if Dake wasn’t so familiar with him.

to the commentators: be relevant to the action or be quiet.

I personally like the commentators. I love wrestling, however, at this level it has a slower pace than normal. Mostly because they are either waiting to make a move, or waiting for their opponents to make a mistake. Just like any other level you wrestle at(except maybe pewee). My point is, in wrestling anything can happen at anytime, but as a commentator you want to make it interesting. And quite honestly, they aren't bad at it. Have a good day sir. :)
