Finally some Mission Impossible action. Finished flows and intake /carb flows. I think the Mission is possible!!!

Hey Charles, Tim here, i like ur idea of workin on the exhaust, cuz the intake gives a wall of no more flow......with a cam that will have the right ovelap, to provide a nice pull from the intake, it sounds like the rite thing, also, the right cam, will scavenge better with ur revised exh port, ergo, allowing the intake time to provide a fresh charge.......i like the idea, and YES, missed you!!!.....hope ur stuff got accomplished, and look fwd to more tech!!

Was a kid in the3 gas crisis in the 7-s. Neighbor would buy 70 R/T challengers in purple..1st day the 383 would come out get tossed in the backyard and a bluprinted, well tunes 318 2bbl went in. Everyone tossed big blocks out back in the day I would find them in fields vacant lots etc. Little head work big 2 bbl holley blackjack headers Isky Supercam and thrush turbos dumped at the axle .

Ok so I do have a question for what to do about the one oddball port on each head that feeds the egr? Do you fill that back wall? The little 2 barrel is the Carter BBD. Great work as always Charlie! 😊👏👏👏

Reminded of a bumper sticker I saw years ago. I miss my ex but my aim is improving. Improving exhaust flow reduces pumping losses which is as close to free power as you can get.

Those cast maniflds work okay. Like i said the early magnum exh maniflds flow quite well especially the 1992-93 for the 3/4 trucks. And of course the 340hp/police headers.

Could you weld those chambers to be closed? I would think that would help out the engines compression and burn efficiency since it’ll actually have a quench pad.

Could you do a cast iron Chevy spreadbore intake to closer match the flow of ported Dart heads?
@servediocylinderheads Жыл бұрын
I don't have any in stock. I have done it before, the only way it is worth all the work is if you are building a sleeper. Thanks
@20alphabet Жыл бұрын
I have it. It's casting 3965577 for the 350hp 350 and the Quadrajet. I could send it, if that's something you'd do. The Dart heads flow at 290-300cfm @500-600 lift.
@servediocylinderheads Жыл бұрын
@@20alphabet I have done aluminum intakes like that. They require drilling holes in each branch of the upper and lower branch. Welding in curved dividers, tons of grinding, weld a spacer to plenum. Iron is much harder to weld, I wouldn't even attempt it. I would think about grinding an Iron intake like I did the two barrel 318 intake. It would be pricey due to the amount of grinding and testing involved. Thanks
@20alphabet Жыл бұрын
Thought it would be. And yes, it's for a sleeper. The intake is for a divorce choke carburetor, and looks stock. Do you know of a sbc intake that would accommodate that head flow?
