David Walliams is one of the most successful comedians in the world. On "Little Britain", his smash hit BBC sketch comedy show, he created characters whose catchphrases have become part of the culture: "I'm a lady", "Computer says No", and so many more.
David did ten seasons as a judge with Simon Cowell on Britain's Got Talent, and has written 43 children's books that have sold over 60 million copies.
Josh and David recently did a six-week, fifteen-show tour of Australia and New Zealand, where Josh interviewed him in front of tens of thousands fans. Before the final show in Perth, David sat down for an uncomfortable conversation about offending people, dressing up as a woman, and how he and Matt Lucas created some of the most memorable characters of 21st century television.

You did it, Szeps! I switched from audio to the video. The silence at 17-ish minutes did it. I wanted to see what went on in that moment. Awesome how he told you he wasn't going along and then, when you pushed, he just didn't go along with it. ... And then you both just moved on. That was equally awesome. Sometimes something doesn't work and you just reset and move on. Great to see that play out appropriately in a real situation. There are lessons there! Sorry, though. Switching back to audio only...

Yeah, I had to look too. I saw a smirk despite his frowning upon “the framing’. He’s a sour, gay man that doesn’t know he’s gay. Had he led a more conventional life he’d have been married with a couple kids until about now-ish; then he’d get sick of being ‘closeted’ and come out with his very own Ketut. Little Britain is some of the best television I will have ever watched in my life though…

He is a nasty nasty and very unfunny man. I can't watch him. I am curious to know whether he supports LGB and women's rights, or TQ+ and men's privileges. I am also curious to know how he can justify the racism and misogyny of his blackface and womanface outfits. But I can't watch to find out because his face and personality sicken me. And his racism and misogyny.

I've been on the fence (😮😅) about David for years. But now I think I've seen enough to like him, a lot. In 2014 we had a female childminder who decided to change gender. The week he told us he also told our 10 and 8 yr old daughters. I asked the younger girl what she thought - "Oh me and my friends know about trans gender!" "We read The Boy in the Dress at school. " I loved David's books even more...

@@djd8305 Do you know what autogynephilia is? Do you know it is a paraphilia? That men with one paraphilia often have more than one, and that men who claim to be trans who are in UK prisons are 5 times more likely to be sex offenders than other men? So glad you did not employ a man claiming to be a woman to be near your kids. I hate that this poor woman is now sterile with vaginal atrophy and early onset menopause and brittle bones - or she never took wrong sex hormones and is now out of the cult and back to normal
