THIS is a wonderful album. David Werner was played on Chicago FM radio (WXRT) and we started covering his songs in my band....just great to see this here

As a former Chicagoan, I'm quite familiar with WXRT. However, I lived in Denver for a number of years and became friends with Jim Petersson (brother of Tom Petersson, bass player from Cheap Trick.) Now I know why Jim liked this performer so much.

One of the most underrated albums of all time. Never on CD. Very much of its time. Tom Petty & Cars fans should have eaten this up. Epic worked it hard. Public struck out.

I bought it along with TP and the Cars and Blondie, etc.

Back to the great era. This record was never afraid to break-out of the rigid. Remember when radio (KSJO) went at rock from every angle? A fearless disc that I will always come crawling back to.

Summer of 1975, KSJO played "Cold Shivers" from Imagination Quota tons of times, I had to have the album, but nobody stocked it. Finally found a copy at Dogmouth Records in Los Gatos; 50 cents. Best 50 cents I ever spent! This one is great, too. Werner adapted to the times very well.

I, too, first heard this on WXRT - went to see him @ B'Ginnings in Schaumberg. Ian Hunter (of Mott the Hoople) produced and played harmonica on a couple of cuts. I still listen to this in 2020. AMAZING bass & guitar work on this whole record.

Wow, I saw the Boomtown Rats there. I think I saw David Werner open for Graham Parker at Park West, but those are some pretty foggy memories.

If only this were still available and on cd. I have it on vinyl I bought it when came out. I was a junior in high school. I heard it on KMEL 106.1- THE CAMEL SAN FRANCISCO. Still spin it from time to time.

A great guitarist played on this album, Mark Doyle. He has his own KZbin channel. Also, the songs are great.

Heard this on KSFM Earthradio 102 out of Sacramento in the Summer of 1979. After the station went Disco in the Fall of 1979, I bought this on vinyl. Still own and enjoy this record. It has aged well.

I just found this album, promo, mint condition at a record store for $6 yesterday! I had this promo from DVE when I was 15 after I wrote to them asking if they had any thing they could send me lol. They sent me a box of albums with this, Donnie Iris, Norm Nardini etc! My ex wife wouldn't give me my albums back after the divorce...probably the bitch that sold the album to the record store but I finally got that shit back over 35 (

not quite Bowie level lol....but a very underappreciated artist and career....I will always remember the first pained chords of "what's right" sliding in behind the manik tone of the first cut.
