Utley never actually "slid." The first contact of any kind was his head hitting Tejada's leg...a foot beyond the bag. That's not a slide, and not a clean play. Plain and simple.

Utley didn't slide he tried to tackle. He never touched the bag, he had no intention of touching the bag, he simply had the intention of stopping the double play by ANY means necessary. That includes snapping a man's leg. People are trying to turn this in the guy who got his leg broke by saying he kneed Utley in the head and that's why he couldn't touch the bag. Utley had FULL control over what happend during that hit. He went into his knee cause he could knock him down and subsequently break his leg. Truly disgusting.

As i said a few weeks back, the mets won their division because their division is horrible, they did play well against the dodgers and cubs, and the dodgers and the cubs both played very bad against them.. The national league is very weak. The royals are a far superior team, toronto would of destroyed the mets as well. Too bad st louis did not get in, they would of put up a better fight. Also, i did not know Harvey was also the interim manager ????? lol, what a jerk off, i know his teammates can't stand him, what do they think of him now ??? Also, you can't blame Murphy, he was the one that got them in the worls series.
