Love this….Saw it at my local dealer and bought it, now waiting for the bike to arrive in the blue colour ver. This video helps alot until it arrives👌

Mud clearance would indeed be my biggest concern with this bike. Other than that I really like the concept. This year was a bit more windy in germany than usual with windspeeds of around 10-15 km/H so I would have appreciated some help with that. Also WAM sounds really useful.

Out walking today and Ilkly and I saw an elderly gentleman with an absolutely fantastic looking Ribble cycles E bike. I will be honest I was admiring the bike before I realised it was an E bike I thought it was just a very nice looking road bike. Would not mind betting that is the future for getting loads of folks riding bikes.

Great first look, congrats. The new Exploro now with fender mounts is approaching the do-it-all bike for many users. Especially considering the improved geometry with added Stack height for each size.
@cjohnson38364 жыл бұрын
My do it all bike can actually fit the fenders and costs less than half the lowest model of this.

As always, thanks for the great review! You hear so much about the gravel thing... “just another marketing blah blah blah.....” but I think it’s brilliant. And this bike seems like a great evolution. As a former mtb’er and a current roadie, who wants another mtb, I love my gravel bike (Giant Revolt) as it allows a pretty nice range of capabilities. It seems this bike just stretches the envelope a bit further in both directions. Will it replace a dedicated mtb? No. Will it replace a dedicated road bike? Maybe. IMO, gravel is legit, and the sales seems to support that. I want it. But, I want so much!
@cjohnson38364 жыл бұрын
Gravel is legit. I think gravel bikes are the bikes we'd all be riding if professional racing didn't dominate anything and everything on the road bike market. Unfortunately, I see gravel going that same way.

easy solution to tire width issue is same is for cars - list the width at a given inner rim width, with a recommended acceptable range.

Another great upload. With the development and release of diverse tech and bikes such as this and other versatile and feature packed bikes, the gravel sector really is proving to be the most exciting and interesting segment of the market.

Aero on a gravel bike makes perfect sense to me. I expect road to gravel mix to average 80/20 or so. Of course, 100% of the 80% on road to be >> 15mph and the vast majority of time on gravel to be above that speed as well. If it’s such a technical trail that one consistently stays below, a gravel bike is the wrong bike. Go MTB. But no effort at compliance is a deal breaker for me.

It’s got a front derailleur ...yesssss 👍. Now it just needs a steeper seat post, please?
@moo4rich4 жыл бұрын
The seat post has no layback so you wouldn't need it to be any steeper.

Beautiful but I think I just need a 25 lb steel mountain bike in a large size and stuff it with 650b's.

Why not use that monstrous downtube for storage as some other bike company did,...this downtube is massive. I can imagine to store there all my necessary tools, if going for longer rides food, and Im sure I would fit even lightweight rain jacket as Im looking at it. Otherwise this new bike looks different and exciting, wind of fresh air
@maquismark58524 жыл бұрын
How about a cockpit for pets?
@OmarTan4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that downtube is begging to be a storage space, just imagine only need to keep hydration pack and food with you and all the tools and spares for bike is kept safely in the bike. That’s a major deal in my opinion, having to carry less stuff on the rider

Bike of the future if your future bike has no clearance to let mud, stones etc pass. Lot of money for a niche product
@bryandbaker4 жыл бұрын
So the Exploro makes no attempt at enhancing compliance in the stem and/or seat post for a more comfort on uneven roads?
@davidarthur4 жыл бұрын
That hasn't really been the focus of their design I guess, other than clearance for very big tyres
@simonguard50874 жыл бұрын
Wam Bam thankyou David, interesting and like it but still prefer the Exploro, the mud clearance at the rear doesn't look right but hey wat do I know.
@Thomas-fy9yc4 жыл бұрын
The website says it’s actually more clearance, supposed to take up to 650x61, as opposed to my older team model which is around 56c.
@JordanHMay4 жыл бұрын
It's hilarious to me that they believe THAT is mud clearance.
@freeffree41332 жыл бұрын
I have one. Go through mud all the time no issues.
@OmarTan4 жыл бұрын
The thing that I don’t get why and can’t take it is that top tube cable routing. Just whyyy and did no one complain about it on the previous Exploros? Also those clearance makes little sense to me, sure it’s aero, but if you’re in a gravel race and the weather turns bad, wouldn’t that make it no clearance for mud to go through and say goodbye to the pain job then.
@jaspreetsidhu57084 жыл бұрын
It's a simple way to run cables stops them from ruining the frame and is upgrade proof personally I like it.
@paolocapozzi9274 жыл бұрын
Interesting design, but I see one HUGE flaw in it...the "mud clearance" for the back tire is basically non-existent. What happens to that exquisite frame once you get on a muddy trail? Also the 415 chain stay is in my opinion a bit on the short side if you want some stability on rough stuff, as well as the 72° head angle (although is not clear what the fork rake is). But it looks indeed very cool!
@lacyleech77984 жыл бұрын
I don't like the look of the new down tube.
@darrinschwarz74464 жыл бұрын
and they just want you to buy two wheelsets...as with the open
@MR-dv6ms4 жыл бұрын
My cannonade has about 4 times the mud clearance of that bike and still its no where near enough clearance , that thing would look very ordinary after the first ride with paint and carbon being ground off
@szymonslominski8830 Жыл бұрын
The cable routing on the top is a joke.
@costasmandylor15654 жыл бұрын
Yes, because we all know that when you're gravel cycling and your average speed is 12 MPH, aero is of the outmost importance!! 😂😂
