You are a wonderful teacher! I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and recently wanted to learn to play mandolin. Your lessons are so easy to follow and learn. I didn't think I could learn the finger pickin this easy. Your gift is a blessing. Thanks for sharing.

Hey David! Loving this series. I started learning mandolin recently and am curious as to the purpose of not choking up on the neck with the left hand? I struggle quite a lot to reach the frets I need to unless I’m right up against the neck. If you or anyone else has any insight on this, let me know. Thank you!

What a fantastic intro, David. Not usually a fan of these clips, but this one is really nice. Thanks also for your generosity in helping mandolin enthusiasts of all levels.

Just got my first mandolin for Christmas and working through the videos. Going up and down with these exercises will hopefully build good muscle memory, thank you.

Hi David. Great series. I'm just starting out on mandolin but have been playing guitar for a very long time. How important is the one finger for two frets rule? It's really a challenge for me as I'm used to one finger per fret. I also am very comfortable using my left-hand pinky. It's pretty strong. I bend string with it quite a bit. Thanks!

Really enjoing the series david. But i definately feel like this lesson was suitable for episode three. Episode three really has stumped me. I just cant catch the melody. Im guessing ill just bear down and practice it again and again and not move to far in the lessons before developing more rhythm. But the episode definately should be #3 not #4.
