I can't remember seeing any video from you without learning new things. Thank you so much for all your work

-Thanks for the great video David ... !!! -Yesterday in the morning studying for 3 days I got 90% correct answers in the pre-test for the free voucher from JNCIA, and I scheduled my test in 15 days. -After that, a panic hit me because I bucked an associated level certification test without ever giving a command on real Juniper equipment. -I spent the day assembling a GNS3 on my Linux PC and installing IOS and Junos to be able to lab for the tests. -And finally I gave a "commit" command, and now I have to studding like crazy run to pass JNCIA at the beginning of the next month and return to preparation for CCNA for October. -I just finished configuring the integration of Wireshark GNS3 in Linux and came to see the video so I can go rest. -Thanks to the colleague for the content and inspiration.
@geoptus4 жыл бұрын
@EduardoCD, which Linux distro did you install GNS3 on?
@educastellini4 жыл бұрын
@@geoptus -I used Linux Mint 20 in my personal PC, but any distro installs for what I searched, 3 or 4 commands on average, or in Docker (about 8 at maximum), Vm, and many platforms, then it's a matter of later complete with some parts via git and that's it, but the most complicated are the images from both IOS and other manufacturers. -Other servers like AAAs, Nagios take a little more work, but I was a Linux admin for many years so, I think at think is ease. -David´s show very well in video how to do GNS3 server. -I practiced Cisco IOS on IOU server but GNS3 is more ease besides Cisco simulates other manufacturers. - What I really wanted was an old Server Xeon, but as I spend months putting together the money for a certification, then this will probably only happen when I immigrate from Brazil. -But cloud is a good option to run many things.

Thanks for the buffer tip David, very helpful. (I had been wondering why the buffer was filling up with only an ICMP in transit) My tip to others would be, 'burn the keyboard shortcuts into your fingers'. As a long time user of Cad software, I can attest to how much time this can save, especially if driving the pointer across a large screen. The listing of shortcuts can be found about half way down the 'Contents' of the 'Help' menu item. Just finished the Packet Tracer Intro Course today - great fun (especially the IoT stuff!), really looking forward to using PT in your CCNA course (starting tomorrow!!)

I had a week long abbreviated course on Wireshark with Dr. Laura Chappell from my work and it was awesome, but I never had an opportunity to use it so I forgot pretty much everything in the course. She did sign her book for me. LOL Oh, and she wore sweat shirts and t-shirts most of the week, except for day one.

After configuring the laptop IP Address 10.1.1.2 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0. on the command prompt i get results like yours except on this part 'Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 25ms, Average = 6ms'. What could be the problem?

I have created a Smart Home IoT network system in Cisco Packet Tracer. I want to know how to create an attack simulation model for the smart home IoT in Cisco Packet Tracer(CPT). Is it possible to do attacks and prevention simulation CPT? If possible how to do it and please provide me with some reference links or documents for it. 1. Attack simulation in Cisco Packet Tracer and prevention solutions for that. 2. Categorize the attacks and what type of attacks are possible. How to prevent that. 3. How to use Cisco Packet Tracer and generate the data in a particular format which can be given as an input to a Machine Language for processing.

Thanks David, can we also practice network automation on packet tracer also will you be making more packet tracer labs for wireless as well
@davidbombal4 жыл бұрын
Not really - Packet Tracer is very limited. Better to use the DevNet labs or CML for network automation practice. I will be making Packet Tracer labs for wireless - yes.
