Best main line machine ever designed in my opinion. I know a lot of guys don’t like using sectional cables but this machine is a beast. There’s not many calls I have to turn down or walk away from having the k1500. It can rip through roots like nobody’s business with 1 1/4 cable

My brother let me use his because I need a clean out every year with the tree roots . It is a beast and great machine . I wouldn’t waste my time with the drum style . 1 1/4 cable will not let you down . Love it . Great video. Well worth the $3500 on this great machine

I just got the Milwaukee Air Snake and used it to clear a clog in a washing machine drain. It worked on the first try. I highly recommend checking it out. I enjoy the your videos and look forward to the next one. God bless.

Great job you have sold that sectional machine you guys work great together
@KCautodoctor6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for being open about the initial purchase cost of the right-sized equipment to do that kind of clean out. You are right that the delay in waiting for someone else to "maybe" clear the clog in the drain, definitely makes the investment in your own specialized drain cleaning tools worth it. Do you have a long video inspection camera "snake" too? Are most of your rentals on their own septic system? Do you have any scheduled maintenance you do for the septic systems (i.e. septic tank pumped out every X number years, add microbes to the septic system, etc)? Do you have any schedule for main drain cleaning or wait till it may clog?

Hello Mr Farmer can I ask where you bought that k-1500 from? I'm going into business for myself and I've been price checking that exact sewer machine also how do you like it? If you had it to do over again would you buy that particular model or go with a different Ridgid sectional sewer machine?
@DavidFDay Жыл бұрын
It’s a great machine. I would buy it again. I might have ordered it from Ohio tool. I can’t remember.

I just picked up a rental a 3 bedroom one bathroom trying to figure out how much to charge a month any tips
@DavidFDay2 жыл бұрын
Congratulations on your rental. Without seeing your rental’s condition, neighborhood and knowing your market I could not advise you on a price. In my area a nice 3 bedroom will rent for $1000 to $1500 depending on the 3 things I just said. I can drive 30 minutes and the same rental will bring $1500 to $2000. You can always come down if you price it high and it doesn’t rent. You will be disappointed if you rent to cheap. Also you have to factor taxes, insurance and if your making a payment on what you have to start your price at but congratulations I hope you have a lot of success.

David and Mark I absolutely love your videos your two awesome people. Please video when you use the back hole and bust up the ground and bust up the pipe and put the clean out in it. I would love to see how that's done thank you. Also David do you own all those tools?

So im just a homeowner and not a professional but we have tons of roots in our sewer and have ti have it snaked often. Im going to buy a good snake could someone recommend a good product? No i dont want a little homeowner unit that will break the first time. Would a sectional be better? The last guy that did it had one that was one long snake. Not sure the brand but it looked like a beast. Had 2 aired up tires and a 3rd wheel up top but the one who came out last year had a sectional unit. The sectional unit looked more heavy duty and it destroyed the roots. Anyway i am wanting a professional unit that will last forever and do a great job. My budget is between 1,500 and 2,000. Thank you

In comparison to a drum machine.. that looks like it’s a lot more work and a lot messier if cleanout is inside... what’s your opinion?
@DavidFDay5 жыл бұрын
Robert Maki I have a couple of drum machines if I have to go inside. To my knowledge they don’t make a drum machine with that large a cable and that has that much power.
@drainmonkeys3855 жыл бұрын
Although that’s a powerful cable machine.. a professional drain cleaner would ALWAYS run a 6” pair shape blade all the way to the city connection

Multiple dwellings on same Branch waistline. So what happens when it's cleared past the fence it goes to your neighbor's house and backs his place up then backs up the other place
@DavidFDay2 жыл бұрын
There is a sewer man hole just past the fence that other houses come into. That does happen sometimes when one line is cleared it clogs another but it’s not often that happens. Thanks for commenting

All of this is totally unnecessary to dig... camera and 150’ of cable... I have a Spartan 1065 and a MyTana M88 and I would run a 6” blade all the way... from your first cleanout and would camera it... and it would take 30 minutes.... digup is a waste of time and money
