@DavidGarside5 жыл бұрын
Hello Ken. Thank you for your message and kind comments. I've not had to do any towing at all with it, but I am aware that if yours is an auto or 4wd then it has to have a front lift. Front 2 wheel drives I believe can be towed ok (Don't quote me on that though). I think the front tow attachments are behind the lower grille, and an 'A' frame is recommended as the low front could be damaged otherwise. Sorry I can't be more specific. Thanks again. David.

@DavidGarside4 жыл бұрын
Hi Allan. It appears that both the front and rear wipers are covered by the same fuse (11), so I would suspect either the wiper motor itself, or the power to it. I had a problem on a previous car where the wire had broken inside the rubber gaiter between the tailgate and the car itself, which when repaired sorted the problem. Good luck, let me know how you get on.

Do all vehicles have 2 fuse boxes. Why is this? To keep things working if 1 blows? Do I start at the under dash box. Think left side of my dash panel thingy isn't illuminating.

I'm not sure if all cars have them. The ones inside the car seem to cover items more individually, whereas the ones under the bonnet covers bigger sections. Any knowledge you could share on the relevant relays and also how to test the starter motor etc would be greatly appreciated. My 2010 Pixo has a 'no crank' issue that suddenly occured (even with jump leads) although it can be push started. I think the relays need to be checked however many of the abbreviations on the cover panel are hard to decipher. There's very little information on the internet for the Pixo/Alto and no Haynes manual as far as I know. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks again for sharing your knowledge

Hi Paul. Thank you for uour comment. I don't have the car anymore I'm afraid so I'm unable to add to the videos I've done. No Haynes manual available for it as you say, and info is hard to come by. Luckily my dealer was s great help with any problems. Sorry I can't be of more help. Hi David thanks for the video, but do you know where the fuse is for the aircon. No where does it say aircon fuse.
@DavidGarside4 жыл бұрын
Hello Chris. Thank you for watching and your message. My particular model doesn't have aircon so I can only go by my handbook. If yours is the same as mine (2013), according to the book your fuse and relay are under the bonnet. I believe it will come under the air compressor, which is fuse no 14 (10amp) and relay no 8. See page 7-24 and 7-25 in your book. If in doubt or if you have a different model, get your local garage to check these for you to be on the safe side. Let me know how you get on. Thank you.

@DavidGarside4 жыл бұрын
Hello Ron. Thank you for your message. I've not had to change my flasher relay at all so I can't tell you exactly where it is I'm afraid. It's behind the dashboard by the Speedo by the sound of it but I'll have to try and see it in the daytime. If it's only one side that flashes at a different speed, then check the bulbs ( sorry if you've already done this) as if one fails it makes the others flash much faster. There's a Suzuki forum on line which you may with to join as it's very helpful. Sorry I can't help further.
@ronvillaflor8344 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. That is also what i was thinking as the sound comes from that part of the dashboard. I guess i need to roll up my sleeves and hunt it down . I have someone from India that drives the same. Since these models are made by Maruti Suzuki, he sent me photos of where to find the flasher relay. He has a RHD and shown me its located by the lower fuse box kick panel. I checked mine as a LHD but its never there. Your fuse box tray by the kick panel looks the same as mine even if its LHD. But his is different and a bit longer. Even if its same as yours as a RHD.
@DavidGarside4 жыл бұрын
Mine is a rhd. I've looked under the dashboard at the fuse box while the indicators are flashing, but I would expect to be able to feel it working. I wonder if the noise behind the dash is just an electronic noise so you can hear it? There's nothing in the manual about it ( fuses/relays etc) so I wonder if it uses the hazard switch for the normal indicators too. I'll spend some time at the weekend having a look too. I'll let you know if I have any luck.
@ronvillaflor8344 жыл бұрын
Thats awesome and kind of you. I appreciate it. Apparently his model. Alto or A-Star as what its called in India, is the first batch model or Type 1. This is between 2008 to 2011. Ours is Type 2 from 2012 to mid 2015. There are a lot of changes from the 2 types. And we bet that the fuse tray is included. The most obvious indicator to know type 1 vs type 2 is the air intake box. Type 1 models dont have the Suzuki name badge on the air box while the type 2 has it. The type 2 has a bigger air box that houses the air filter. Both models have different air filter sizes. This is why he cant help further. I wonder why they tuck the relay away instead of making it more accessible. Cheers!

I believe that the flasher relay is part of the hazard light switch. The sound comes from a separate sounder unit behind the dash.

Hello. Thank you for your message. I've not had any problems in that area with mine so I can't really help. @DavidGarside11 ай бұрын
Morning. Hmm, I'm not too sure about that. I would just check that the connections in the bulb holder are all clean and corrosion free, and maybe check the brake light switch connections too. It's possible I suppose that the bulbs could be overheating if you sit in queues of traffic with your foot on the brake instead of using the handbrake (I'm not suggesting that you do this, but something to consider). Other than that, I think an auto electrician would be the best person to contact. I hope you get it sorted out ok. Thank you for watching. 1🤞🤞
