I haven't seen that commercial since I was a kid. The little commercial clip alone made watching this completely worth it. So many memories came flooding back. I believe the original Secret Wars figures were the first action figures I ever owned along with Star Wars of course. I still wish I had the degree of imagination I had back then. It's most unfortunate playing with action figures that way will never be again. It's just a different type of "play" now. I absolutely love the X-Men, but still one of my favorite parts in the story is when Spider-Man picks them apart. Such ridiculousness.

October 1984. Im 12 and I walk into a comic shop and pick up Secret Wars no. 6, along with maybe 8 other Marvel titles. Thus my comic book obsession begins for the next 3 years I'm all in. Then prices go from 75 cents to 1.25 I think, and I'm done. What a great time. Thanks for the video!

Titania was bullied her whole life because she was poor malnourished, and therefore grew up weak, thin, and sickly. Her only friend was Marsha. This is why Titania reveled in becoming a powerhouse! And since She Hulk was the strongest heroine, naturally Titania was obsessed with the need to prove herself after a lifetime of being bullied! That's why if She Hulk has an arch enemy it's Titania!

Excellent and fun review of an epic story. (The healer's name was "Zsaji", btw... And it was only a massive mountain range, not an entire continent, although holding up a continent WOULD be MUCH MORE impressive!😲😲😅😅😅) I never really had any of those original toys as a kid, but my best friend Billy had pretty much ALL of them, and introduced me to the comics. He invited me over all the time, so I got to play with them whenever I wanted, so it was kind of like having them, in a way. He gave me extra copies of the comics, so I at least could follow the story and enjoy the awesome artwork. Now, as an adult, I've been slowly assembling the cast of characters from the "Secret Wars" series, for possibly an eventual display... I pretty much have everyone except those 4 FREAKING Wrecking Crew guys, Volcana, Titania, Molecule Man, Monica Rambeau Captain Marvel, (Or Spectrum, or whatever!), THAT Rogue (costume that is), (because Hasbro won't DO ANY of the damned Rogue costume versions besides that freaking Jim Lee version and the dumb@$$ newer versions)... Other than those 9 characters, I basically have the cast, well 10 if you include the Healer, Zsaji... And although we DO have an excellent Doom representation for MOST of the series, I'd really like an AFTER his Beyonder battle version of Doom's more techno-oriented armor... I have the BAF GALACTUS, but the Haslab GALACTUS will definitely replace him later... Fun fact: Turns out that The Beyonder and Molecule Man were unknowingly, actually two separate parts of a cosmic cube that evolved into the entity called "Kosmos", I believe it was. Great video, which I've been looking forward to for quite awhile...! Maybe you'll get around to "Acts of Vengeance" before too long...?!😁😉😅 Or maybe Inferno, so you can drag out Hobgoblin---> Demogoblin and his "pet", Doppelganger, for a Halloween Spider-Man story review, perhaps...?!! 😜😁😁

@@bryansalvagejr757 i think the mcu seceret wars should feature all of the main heros and villaisn featured in the mcu so far up on to that point dead and alive..reason it saying he unieted all the best heros and villains that ever lived and brought them all in to one place to see who wins and have it be a big one of for all the characters that died and thye are only alive their and after seceret wars is done everyine is out back where they was like in the comics either back to the after life or where the alive characters that survive the moives get put back where they was to where thye was before being plucked to take part in the event ...i think everyone would be willing to excpet resurrecting dead characters for this one off event and putting them back once the story is over and return them to the after live the ones that died prior to the story...it would work as a big celebration of everything the mcu has done up until that movie..then you can replace the would be inevitable facelless canon foder army with all of the villains featured in the movies until that point making up the giant army we usually get in these movies but intead of another faceless army its made up of all the villains the audiences knows that has a face and backstory..they would be no need for canon foder hencemen because thye can now be filled with all the villinas featured so far..iron monger, whiplash, abomination, red skull, veraint evil loki ( so we dont undo lokis character progression but still feature the villain that first united the avengers at the same time..could alos have redeemed loki meet past evil loki and thier woulc be an intereintg charatcer omement and sub plot their for that character, ronin , ultron, crossbones , baren zemo, thanos and the black order etc..would make for an epic trilogy of films being marvels crown jewl their lord of the rings trilogy..but if the lord of the rings movies had decades worth of storys and movies that took place before it explaing who everyone is before the main event of the lord of the rings story.

@@bryansalvagejr757 i can see this happening..thye need to top infinity war and end game some how which was a 2 parter..susually the cliche when turning the final chapter of a sotry is to do it in 2 parts but here break the mold and tell it in 3 parts..the begining middle and end,, combine elemts form both the oringla seceret wars and the 2015 remake like the death of the multiverse collideing and everyone trying to stop it as the first act of the trilogy and then in part 2 the second act have the beyoneder pluck remaining peaces from the mulitverse instead of bits of plaets from the universe but bits of different mulviterse to put together into one gaint planet that all the survierers of the mulvterses collapse gsts put and the ebye=oneder makes both sides fight to prove their worth and the wining side gets a wish that gets granted..have the second movie end with doom tkaieng the powers of the beyonder to become god empire doom and the 3rd and final act of the trilogy be about trying to stop doom and fix the mulitverse and this leaves the door open for the mcu to have a soft reboot of sorts where they can start over for the new ages recast characters and tell new storys in a new contuinty that takes some eletms from before but alos chnages things up so you can tell new storys wuth them you didnt get to tell before and make a fresh jumping on point start fro a new generation

So weird I was just thinking a few days ago I'd love to have the whole secret wars line up in marvel legends. I was 12 years old when this book first came out and yes it was the first huge cross over. Great video but Galactus wasnt trying to take the Beyonders power. The heroes stopped him from eating battle world so because he was so hungry he was going to ear his own ship instead. Galactus converted it to energy but before he could take it in Doom stole the energy to give him power to take on the Beyonder. Also the X-men didnt just defend magneto because he was a mutant it was also because some of the heroes didn't trust the X men either.

Sorry Dave the first major crossover event in the Marvel 616 universe was/is Contest of Champions 1982 and though they had all heroes it introduced new hero’s too though none of them stuck, Secret wars has the distinction of having a large mix of hero’s and Villains in a crossover event, other than that it was a great video hard to believe the only figures we don’t have is Molecule Man, Volcana, and Titania, man I hated those Mattel figure’s they where awful, thank god Hasbro redid them over in 3 3/4” man they look so much better and they done so many 6” figures they done almost every one but the three I mentioned

Pretty sure almost everyone has been released, it's just that most of us, even me, don't have everyone. *Wrecking Crew* The only one's I don't believe have been released are Molecule Man, Titania, and Volcana. Beyonder doesn't show up in the flesh until the second series. And people also forget that the Beyonder did a DC and the heroes had a numbers advantage! A DC is having way more heroes than villains in action figures.

Yes. Well, I am now at 5 Evil Black Widows for you and Juanita to face, with 2 more purchased and on the way. For your next 'Good News' update; Kickstarter for Street Humans tomorrow Kickstarter for Future Warriors Red Sonja, Purgatori, and Vampirella from Dynamite, now up pretty much everywhere. I wish I could kickstarter both of those, both are awesome, but I can only do one and I need the Street Humans more. The Future Warriors would be an Upper Level Mercenary team and I kind of just did one of those with Overwatch and human Fortnite figures. I hope they get funded so I can get them down the road. For the ladies, they are high quality and not cheap. So again I have to choose 1 for now. I chose Red Sonja. I actually have a pretty decent Purgatori from a few years ago. I also have a Vampirella, although very limited articulation. So my order for them will be Red Sonja, Vampirella, then Purgatori. And I ordered Hellwitch a couple months ago. Demona will also hopefully be down the road too. Ah, back to the grind. I'm starting still another Villain tote. Can you believe that just the pics I sent you were almost 500 figures! And I have several huge ones and a lot of smaller ones I have to go through as I'm finally doing an inventory and a count.

It is a fact that young boys (and young girls) don't want to play with toys of the opposite sex. Sure, a few characters here and there but genuinely this is the case. They like to see themselves in the characters. A boy can't see himself in a female character and a girl can't see herself in a male character. And there is nothing wrong with that.
