My daughter and I were working on this last night for an open mic tonight. I have learned so many of your songs, open tuning on Flame Turns Blue, Living Room, Shine. I even spent 18 hours over three days learning This Years Love on the piano and I don't even play the piano. We love your work and are excited to see you and Clune together again.

Brilliant David shows us how to play. Try singing and playing together and you quickly realise how talented this man is. His vocal timing is amazing.

I love these tutorials....for this song top tip for those like me who struggle with holding the thumb down playing the C type chord (smallish hands) is play an E shape on EAD strings so middle finger is used instead of thumb. Pinky still on high E 3rd fret (after capo) and slide up when required.

One of my favourite songs to play on guitar by a mile. Didn’t realise I was playing it wrong for the last 20 years (one chord!). And to top it all off it’s 9 minutes long! Nothing worse than being totally immersed in your favourite 3-4 minute song and then it’s over. This epic gives you loads of space to enjoy the melody that tumbles and trickles on through to the end. Masterpiece ✌🏼

I have been playing this blissfully wrong for years lol. I kinda use the same chords but give it more of the soft cell vibe. This is because it is the first time I have heard your actual version played in years. As others have said, very kind of the artist themselves to show how to play their songs. Now all I need is a singing voice, the baritone is great if doing the crash test dummies, but that is about it.
