Just before Christmas I met a girl in a Manchester nightclub, we talked and after the club closed we talked some more in the street. She hugged then kissed me then left. I went home and found the White Ladder CD left for me as a Christmas present from my sister. A few months earlier I'd been almost destroyed by a failed relationship but was ready to try again. I heard this song and it broke me. A year later I married that girl from the nightclub and that was fifteen years ago, we're still married. I still love this song.

It’s 2004, the time “The girl next door” came out. You’re sitting on your couch, watching the movie alone. It’s raining outside at night. After the movie is over you turn the tv off and go to bed. When you wake up it’s 2019 and you’re suddenly older, you’re still alone. Only this time this song pops up on the radio of the car you’re driving on your way to work. It’s Raining again. You’re not so alone anymore because this song will always hold a place in your heart.

Well she wasn't your true love. And trust me time will healed. When it does, open your heart again to love. I thought I'll never get over my first love. It took me 5 years to let her go. Yeah pathetic and waste of time right? One day I just forgot about her. Dated around with diff women. But last year I finally found my true love. Well she found me actually funny story. I never thought I'll ever love another woman again. But this woman she's so special and diff from all girls I ever known. She's the most patient, beautiful, sweet, kind and caring woman ever. She won my heart completely. I know she'll never hurt me. And I'll never hurt her. If I do I'll be the biggest fool alive. Never give up on true love. Your soul mate is out there you and her/him just haven't met yet.

I hope David Gray somehow knows how many lives his music has saved. Reading some of the comment, I've seen people from all walks of life talking about the pain and tragedy they've experienced. It's the most beautiful fucking things I've ever read! David's music has saved my life since I was 18 yrs old in 1998 His music still does, and boy time flies. All the mental illnesses I suffer from (Anxiety, Bipolar, ADD, Autism, Self-harm, Ect., Ect.). It's music that pushes me over the finish line to live another day. Then I read the comments and I realize, I'm not alone. People from all over the world showing that they give a shit. Just the simple act/expression of sharing their thoughts, grief/sadness, happiness/joy, and more. Thanks to anyone out there willing to have the guts to share. To anyone out there that needs to know, I give a shit! Other random people give a shit! I hope you read the comments, and choose life no matter what you're going through. Peace & Love!
