I thank the Lord for leading me to this amazing study I'm going through a season of tears, I thank God for goodness, that His mercy endures forever, the word of the Lord has really kept me going and strengthened me Psalm 34:17-18 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit thanks for praying for all of us🙏🏽

David lived in a time before there was so much prophesying of the Messiah. And the time before Yeshua. So it’s understandable that he wouldn’t imagine being in Heaven with the Lord. I’ve read this chapter when I felt as distraught as David and cried all the way through it. Surely people recognize the poetry in it. Thank you for this Pastor Guzik.

Thank you so much wow! I thank God for people like you. Clarifying the word. Regarding death and beyond, I believe David is simply saying LORD who will praise and worship You in my place? I am sure he looked around and saw that he’s still needed in his space and time. I am taking this literally. Thank you. God truly Bless you

David, Psalm 5 this morning was such a lovely and heartfelt experience. I thought it would take me throughout the day. I have felt spiritually attacked since last week and Psalm 6 was another expression of my heart tonight. I can only pray more and hope more that whatever I have done, God will forgive me and bring me back to the fold. i hurt. Thank for your lovely sermons.

I took verse 5 as God being the God of the living and not of the dead. If we are dead or in the grave we can't praise Him. When we die, we have to wait until the last day Job said he would be redeemed on the last day. So, in my opinion, David was making a petition to God; so his life would be spared "How will i praise you if I am dead? Who will praise you?" He could've even met spiritual death or grave. but I am leaning towards the first one more.

Many of the Old testament saints didn't;t have the clear teaching about life after death that we do from the New Testament. Paul says that to be absent from the body is too be present with the Lord. Our souls immediately go to be with Jesus, the resurrected body catches up later. When we close our eyes on Earth, we open them in Heaven.

King David was in agony due to his sins and in fear of God's anger n unforgiveness so much that he became sick. A man in such agony can become more dramatic in his pleas w God... hence v5

I am truly being blessed with your teachings Sir. I decided to do some soul searching and reconnect my relationship with God and I thought why not start with Psalms. However after I read my chapter a day I felt I needed short teaching on the chapter and God brought me to your page. I look forward to this everyday now. I'm just on chapter 6 and you've been of great blessings. God bless you

I'm working my way through this whole series and really enjoy the teaching. I appreciate the final question on where do we see Jesus. I am looking forward to someday knowing the full revelation of Luke 24:27, but sometimes struggle with whether we are inserting Jesus into verses that we'll find out later don't point to him. Not sure if others have thought about this, but I think there is nothing wrong with asking and pressing the point so that we think about this for ourselves.

Where does the Bible say God poured out all His anger/wrath on Christ as He was on the cross? I have never read any such thing.

the bible is in trouble people! it almost seems like opinions, beliefs and faith (or the lack there of) is on display for our benefit … maybe claiming absolute truth, authority of The Almighty HerSelf, inerrancy and infallibility aren’t appropriate for anything but an idol. just saying … Love, david 👑 🤍 God, am i supposed to tell them the truth? they persecute me for it!
