Hello David, great to see another update. The park and the war memorial are looking fantastic. I like the way you have explained how to make use of the "greenies" to get the flowerbeds, something I will try out for myself now. Take care ,stay safe and looking forward, as allways, to another update.

Many thanks Bob, really nice to be back. Being self employed my art teaching and demonstrating for much of this year was cancelled. I spent a lot of time working on the possibilities of working on-line but, in the end, decided against it. With the new lock down I plan to crack on now with the railway (and perhaps Dinky Toys too) - appreciate the concern 👍👍👍

Lovely to see you back David. When I was using the pan scourer (« scotchbrite ») to clean a General Purpose Machine Gun, I never thought that one day I’d be using it to make flower beds! I love the War Memorial. Thank you for including it. Nearly 11 November, lest we forget. 🌺 Thanks again David. First class video, advice and layout. All the best, Ian

David thats looking truly fantastic. As you say, the superimposed sky behind the new buildings really brings the station area alive in pictures. I agree, the war memorial looks the part indeed. I particularly like the closing shot of thew road scene. You have done detail on that road that is rarely seen - odd patches of replaced tarmac. Along with drains and markings and careful choice of 50s/60s vehicles, it almost looks like you could walk along there its so lifelike. Kindest regards from stormy Swanage.

Really appreciate your comments. Particularly on the 'small' things like the road repairs, drains, and and the selection of vehicles. I am a child of the era, I do research on-line but I rely on my memory when I attempt to get a feeling for the colours and atmosphere of the period. Glad you noticed 👍👍👍

@@davidhyde4329 it's always an absolute pleasure watching your videos David, particularly because I find what you are creating, and the way you deliver so peaceful to watch. I say that because I feel so many of us turn away from unfriendly news stories and unfriendly people to find a certain reliable sanctuary in our art of railways. If ever you find yourself in Swanage you will be most welcome for a cuppa here my friend.

Hi David. I was wondering how you were keeping as it has been a long time and last time we met you were about to publish this video. I love the flower beds and those balls on the top of the brick piers. They were everywhere in London in the 50s and 60s and it took me back to my formative years. Very nostalgic. I shall have to try those pan scourers when I get round to the scenery on my new layout. But at the moment I am still putting in the electronics and all the wiring. It looks like we will be unable to meet again for some time now that lock down part 2 is about to start so it will probably not be until after new year, Here's hoping for a vaccine so that we can finally return to some form of normality. Stay safe. ..............................John

Hi John, thanks for your kind comments. My 'plans' to teach painting online and run online workshops came to nothing in the end. To do this to the standard I wanted would involve too much of a financial investment/risk. I am more a 'stills' man than a 'movie' man (Deresley excepted) so I quickly put together this slide-show of progress, and the feedback, so far, has been positive. With the next lockdown coming I will crack on with more work on the railway. I have bought a new seat for my railway room so when you come next to see progress we can drink coffee and talk railways in comfort. I have been following your videos (apologies for not taking the time to comment) I know you still have more work to do. I dismantled my control panel a couple of weeks back, then got distracted. So the first thing I need to do is try and find my wiring diagrams! Did start back with adult education classes in September but these have now been cancelled - again. Share your hope for that medical breakthrough - we will meet up when restrictions ease - I will put the bunting out in Deresley 😁 - Until then stay safe, love to Maureen, perhaps there is a chance of meeting up before Christmas - who knows .......... Hi David, wonderful stuff as always. I don't know if you noticed but there's a little buzzing on your audio - I think it's because the volume of your narration is going above -0db and redlining which is causing distortion. The solution would be to reduce the volume and add compression to make up the missing loudness.

Hi Barry. Its a technique using photograph editing software - I use photoshop. I did a video on this a couple of years back (link below). Skip to 8:25mins for the start of the photoshop bit. If you are familiar with this type of software it is fairly easy. Take a look at the video, and get back to me if it's not clear. Hope this helps: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5PSZaSOiLx2j9E
