David Bernard has so much wisdom and knowledge, and it must stem from him having the Holy Ghost. It's evident however that he has also studied American and world history in addition to the Bible, and it's why he has a correct understanding of things. I guess I was wrong in thinking that America is a Christian nation from our founding and I have even debated this point with many ppl online over the years the whole time being wrong.

Individuals that represent a nation make the nation a Christian nation or not…….. Why did Obama say we are “no longer a Christian nation” then? I thought nations can’t be Christian. A nation that follows after Christ being Christ like (as this is the definition of a Christian) is a Christian nation….

@@thetruthsetsyoufree5000: I agree with your statement, and I don't know why Barrack Obama said that. I can't say for certain, but it's difficult for me to believe that Obama believes in Christ, and the Bible. He may, but his policies and ideological beliefs did not line up with Biblical principles and teachings. And it's not just Obama I disagree with. It's the entire liberal democratic party I take issue with. In one hand politicians like Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi just to name a few claim to believe in Christ and the Bible, but on the other hand support and uplift transgender/homosexual lifestyles, and abortion, which goes directly against the teachings of Christ and the Bible. That is the very definition of hypocrisy. The Bible says in (James 1:8) "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." I don't believe America has one single Holy Ghost filled politician, which is why America is in such horrible shape right now. It's got to the point now where many ppl on the left can no longer even define what a man or woman is, which is basic biology we all learn as little kids, yet liberal democrats can't grasp such simple concepts, and these are the very ppl who are running our nation, and making policy. It's sick and disgusting, and it's why I believe that America is going to fall because our nation as a whole refuses to acknowledge Christ and repent. Politicians like AOC & Squad Crew claim that the world is gonna end in 12 years due to "climate change," which the Bible does not support and most liberal democrats agree with AOC. And liberals have also managed to brainwash an entire generation of youth, and our schools have had a hand in it as well. (Romans 1:18-32) is an accurate description of today's America, and it's sad.

The Bible is very autocratic. How, then, is American democracy founded on biblical (or Judeo-Christian) principles? It can be argued, instead, that American democracy more resembles early Islamic traditions and government by which democracy, including freedom of religion, was more prevalent.

Where in the New Testament does it say that God promises nations and individuals 'rights of freedom'? It seems clear that the epistles teach that we will always be a persecuted people. Jesus freed us from the curse of sin, so it's a spiritual freedom that we possess. Man-made national legislation can provide civic and justice and physical freedoms and that is all. While that's all good, we can't confuse that with what the Word teaches to be freedom. The disciples were confined in prison and killed, yet still felt the Lord's freedom and praised Him and still gave Glory to Him.

A large portion of this video is discussing slavery instead of answering the question. He is indirectly trying to mitigate the virulence of American slavery. He should have stayed with the question. The absence or presence of slavery does not determine America’s initial founding principle.

The fact that our laws and early references within court cases to America being a Christian country should suffice, however as Torcqueville stated after touring the U.S. and seeing the number of churches, America is great because it is good (morally sound). If America ever ceases to be good it shall cease to be great. God has used the U.S. to be the greatest breeding ground for Christian thought and training ground for missionaries in the world. No doubt God ordained this continent (wilderness) for the purpose of reaching all the world with all the gospel, however God is not limited to the US or anything else.

About the slave trade in the African continent, operated by tribal kings to enslave their own kind..............at least they didn't know the gospel message and acted ignorantly. But the British and European slave traders had been exposed to the gospels, yet still acted inhumanely toward other humans. They knew it was wrong and still did it. There is no comparison.
