😇 Gospel 😇 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 🙏 THE LORD’S PRAYER 🙏 Matthew 6:9-13 - After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. King James Version. ✝️

That’s just the problem… The Trinity is a man-made doctrine, versus the oneness of God, which is revealed by faith.

Well said and clear. Looking through the comments, it seems that some people still find fault anyway, which unfortunately is expected. The most disturbing to me was that by using the Lord’s Prayer as a model and not merely repeating it, someone felt that this somehow went against praying the Word, which is scriptural. While praying the Word is good, we are not limited to only reading the Bible in our prayers. In aligning our will to God’s, we are free to personalize our prayers.

Hi - so I presume I am the someone you’re referring to in your comment - since I am the only one who has commented in slight dissent. When you quote scripture - are you merely repeating it? How is it then - when Orthodox Christians quote scripture in their vespers, Divine Liturgies, and praying the Lord’s Prayer over their meals and in the prayer rules - it is somehow is lessened to ‘repeating’ as if it has been voided of its power? Is bible quizzing, which seems to be quite popular in Oneness Pentecostal circles for their littles, is that too, lessened and voided - that the word of God is none effect? My point is clearly this - All scripture is a model of how to pray… like David’s prayer of repentance in Psalms 50 (51 in your Protestant version) - Create in me a clean heart oh God… Just because something is repeated in one’s prayer rule, or as you most likely call it one’s prayer life, doesn’t lessen the word’s effect … WHEN it is mixed in Faith and Love as one draws near. Do you pray over your meal? What is your blessing? Is it the same every time - or pretty much the same? Orthodox Christians pray Matt 6 over their meals - as it is fitting and 100 percent Scriptural. Orthodox do have liturgical prayers - that certainly provide structure and guide the faithful in growing closer to God, and aligning their whole being into agreement with Christ God … and yes, there are places where we make our own private petitions known to God. I hope you are well. Lovingly, Cuthbert.

There is no pre Trib rapture theory. It's nothing but man made and you won't find one scripture in the New Testament that says Jesus will come before the last day and the last trumpet. 2 Peter 3:10 should get your attention as to what will happen when Jesus returns as a thief in the night.

Jesus drank wine and He turned water into wine. Just take a look at this passage: (NKJV) 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. 10 And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” If you say that you believe that the master was talking about juice, I won’t believe you.

If alcohol is your weakness and drinking wine or beer causes you trouble, don’t assume that it is also the same for others. Wine is not grape juice, wine was an alcoholic beverage. Not everyone has the same experience or body or genes and it is a great error to assume that. The Bible says that wine is a gift from God.

Do not be deceived. Women have no place in the “pulpit” . . . or as elders. It isn’t progress is conformity to the “world”. There are very special things that the women are particularly good at and they can do them like no man can. Like looking after the children in Sunday school, like service work in the kitchen or coffee service, like care visits, like international women’s ministries, and the list goes on. But they need to accept that the teaching of the Word to the congregation (except a Bible reading) is reserved for a man of due qualification. Just as being an elder is. And I would say that if a woman tries to become a preacher or an elder, that it speaks to her complete misunderstanding of the Word of God, or perhaps their conscious and deliberate agenda to skew the Word of God to their own ends. Which, in turn, speaks to the quality of their souls and of the true relationship (or lack thereof) with God. Are they genuinely seeking to be closer and closer to God and in conformity with Him, or are they simply trying to forward their feminist agenda?

I so enjoy Bro. Bernard's video series. I am almost 74 years old and I still hear so many useful thoughts to apply to my every day life. The world is in such a state that I am fearful of the future and I constantly tell myself that God has not given us a spirit of fear , but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I ask myself some times if I am falling into vain repetitions when I pray, since it seems as though I am constantly praying for the same people, the same problems, etc. So this was very helpful to me. My church is still small enough that I can pray for every family, most especially for the ones that I can sense or know are having problems, as well as all of my family. I have no immediate family, so I pray for my nieces and nephews, cousins and their families and I also pray for my friends and acquaintances because I would want others to pray for me and my family. Sometimes, you cannot touch your family members as much as some contemporary friend or acquaintance might could. So I pray for the family members of others, in hopes that someone can touch the heart of my loved ones.

The Bible says "let Us make man in Our image". Us and Our are plural. They are also capitalized to indicate divinity. That is not referring to angels. The Jewish people do not believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. That has a great deal to do with their rejection of the Trinity. Using their interpretation to justify this man's position shows the flaws in his thinking. The Jews have explained away anything that points towards Jesus as being God.

The only thing funny here is your "orthodox" understanding of scripture, prayer, and the church. Praying the Lord's prayer, or any other prayer, repetitiously, is in fact repetitious. And, if the person praying is simply repeating words for repetition sake, that's in vain. Although I don't believe simply repeating the Lord's prayer itself is vain, but a good prayer, it should not be said alone, or repetitiously as this is in direct opposition to the Lord Jesus' instruction.

You miss what is being said. The Lord’s prayer is a template, an outline for prayer. A outline for the order when praying. Pride should never be in one’s heart. Prayer is personal and to say you find it funny means you need to pray for God’s wisdom.

I think we all understand the Lord’s Prayer is not meant to be repeated exactly but it’s a guide on how to pray. Even then not always. There’s a structure and a flow to prayer, and everything else in the kingdom. Be blessed.

Since I am usually the only Orthodox person on the channel - I suspect this comment was directed at me. Just because something repeats in one’s prayer rule, doesn’t make it none effect - WHEN one is drawing near in faith and love unto Christ God. It seems you speak without understanding of Orthodoxy and the Orthodox Fronema - since greater than 80 percent of what is said in the Divine Liturgy IS scripture - and it isn’t a peppy little tune that tickles the ears and gets one’s flesh spun up in a tizzy. Funny. Why does the Holy Ghost only seem to free flow in Oneness Pentecostals gatherings when emotionalism and modified bar tunes - and songs written by trinitarians are employed? Trust you are well. Lovingly, Cuthbert

Funny. Many times I’ve heard Oneness Pentecostal Preachers proclaim “Pray the Word” … then with Matt 6, the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ is suddenly a model to pray. In Orthodox Christianity, the Beatitudes are part of every Divine Liturgy, the Lord’s Prayer too. One in the beginning of the service, and the latter just before the Mysteries. All serve to prepare the Faithful to partake in the gifts - and to inform the inquirer and catechumen of the True Faith. The Lord’s Prayer is part of one’s daily prayer rule, and in Orthodoxy, it is sung in prayer quietly before a meal. How can praying Scripture, in humility, be correlated to ‘vain repetition’? Liturgical prayer rules are powerful. Firstly, we do not know what to pray … secondly, they provide a structure to guide us in prayer, to keep us from praying selfishly. It is funny to me that OP folk talk about man made rules and vain repetition and pray the word so on…. Just demonstrates how disjointed and inconsistent the teachings of the organization is…. An Orthodox prayer rule is a model for prayer. The one I use is well over 1000 years old. Don’t tell folks the ‘pray the word’ in one instance … then say ‘praying the Lord’s Prayer is vain repetition’ in another scenario.

Because I offer another view than what you agree with… and I challenge the whole ‘biblical Christianity’ that the organization purports… somehow I am immature in your eyes?
