8:12 God did say let there be light on the very first day before the sun was made. It doesn't have to take light years for the sun's rays to reach the planet when God could command light.
@Jason-sv7cg
@Jason-sv7cg Жыл бұрын
I agree this is very interesting to me as well. Light existed before our sun existed. So we'd have light, and non-light or (darkness). If we accept this light existed at a specific point of origin, it could be that all matter derives from this light. We do know that light has no mass as it is only photons, but it is affected by gravity and other influences. Perhaps that source light did have some form of mass, or became matter. Like, what was the causation for light? Was this first light, as Big Bang theory suggests, an infinitely dense ball of matter that was so indescribably compact that it generated its own light/heat/energy until it exploded into what is now our expanding universe?
@DavidParker-cf2km
@DavidParker-cf2km 11 ай бұрын
Right and it doesn't take a sun to be the source of light either. Let there be light and there was light. Atheists just cannot grasp the meaning of omnipotence and neither can some self-proclaimed "Christians." To be Christian means to be elect of God and regenerated by the Holy Ghost. Christians are spared the eternal wrath of God which all mankind deserves for disobeying and dishonoring God. Christianity is not a state that can be earned or bought or chosen, it is an unearned pardon from God, not a measure of merit.

As I stated in a lengthier comment, God will offer His mercy to every repentant sinner regardless of their previous views on science, politics or social issues. For this I am thankful! That said, I find among the most significant theological arguments against evolution (theistic or otherwise) and the required old earth that goes with it, is that of "death by sin" (Apostle Paul in his letter to the church at Rome). If there are millions of years of death before Adam, then death isn't actually the result of sin. If that's the case, there is no purpose for the cross of Jesus Christ. On the other hand, if death is the result of sin as the Bible says, and the fossil record is a testimony to the devastating effects of sin, then Jesus' death has tremendous meaning and implications.

Diamonds are not formed from compressed organic (once living) carbon - they are formed at deeper depths and sometimes brought up as a result of tectonic activity. So it's a fallacy when YEC start talking about radiocarbon dating diamonds - they were never alive, so the method is invalid right from the start, anything found is only background radiation/contamination. The Bible was not only written such that man could understand it in the plain sense in which its various genres were written, but it's also written from an earth-centric/human-centric perspective. We're advised that God's thoughts are higher than ours and that His ways are past finding out. We need not view the time statements in Genesis as supposedly being from God's perspective. The Bible clearly drives at it being given from an earth-centric/human-centric perspective when illustrating that the 6 days of Creation are the foundational basis for our 6-day work week with a Sabbath every 7 days. That's but one example. Others include "morning and evening," etc.

Some Jews believe Adam and Eve ate the fruit only one hour after God's warning of the consequences. You should notice it wasn't 'if' they ate the fruit...... It was WHEN!.... True 'free will' can only be created through disobedience. Doing something/anything different than God's will.... But there's those nasty consequences........So, can you guess what the effect of the 'fruit' of "the knowledge of good and evil" actually IS?.... You guessed it...................... SIN!!!!!

While that particular question is not definitely answerable out of the Biblical text, it seems unlikely that they were there for billions of years. The better question is the one of sin, and "death by sin" as Paul says. To me, the best theological argument for a young earth is that sin is the cause of death and the reason God was in Christ and shed His own blood to free us from sin and death. If one accepts millions of years of evolution prior to the sin of Adam, then the purpose of the cross is void, because death wouldn't be the result of sin after all.
@mt9567
@mt9567 2 жыл бұрын
@@Obedient-Faith Thanks for responding..... Your first question... " what if you use your free will to obey God?".... Yes, that's the whole point of the entire Bible.... obey God's will...... "Why would freewill only exist in disobedience?"..... Adam and Eve were only capable of doing and thinking God's will. They had no concept of sin, only obedience. They thought just like God. They were like robots with no individual personality. Like clones of God in flesh. It seems God wanted real love, not an imitation or reflection. Adam and Eve's love would be like sending yourself flowers or candy on Valentine's day. It would have no meaning. Nothing of God happens by accident. It was a set-up! God didn't say IF, he said WHEN you eat.......... If God didn't want Adam and Eve to eat the fruit (of knowledge) he could've prevented it in any number of ways. But God needed to create humans who could think for themselves and freely choose to love him. God even allowed the 'serpent' as a catalyst to complete the process. Adam and Eve chose to do exactly what God needed them to do. Now mankind could become true individuals free to choose. But anything outside of God's will is fatal. Our little bit of free will comes at a great cost to everyone, including God himself as he came to save us from the effects of the 'fruit'.... of.... "the knowledge of good and evil"............ sin......... Regardless, God seems to think it's worth it all........... Genesis1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good"........ (the word 'good' is 'tov' in Hebrew... meaning 'functional' and/or 'In harmony with God'). ....."What if we want to do what He wants us to do?........ That's the whole point........................ we can freely choose to do what he wants us to do.......... or not...... Disobedience was once the only pathway into free will....... Now, yet still bound by the effects of sin and death, our free will allows us to choose the pathway of everlasting life...... Jesus was born sinless simply because he was conceived directly from God's spirit rather than another sinful human. His human spirit was 100% obedient to God. Even unto a gruesome death. When we willingly obey Jesus as Jesus obeys his father/The Father....... we are reversing Adam and Eve's choice of individuality and death, into a better choice of both individuality and life. Adam and Eve did what God needed them to do. Now we try do what God needs us to do by accepting and living the commandments of Jesus.

Q: "how long were Adam and Eve in the garden before they sinned" A: I used to wonder if there could have been some huge time period before sin, undefined, but the Bible declares plainly, "Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died." Pre-fall years plus post-fall years = 930. Only by imagining that he was not actually "living" before his sin, during some imagined unknown number of pre-sin years, can one think we don't really know how long he lived. I don't go around such clear statements in Scripture.

As someone who holds to Creation science and a young earth viewpoint, I can appreciate the perspective shared here. While the Bible does reveal many scientific facts centuries prior to their "discovery" by modern scientists (the water cycle is one of many examples of this), it is an excellent observation that the Bible is NOT primarily a science text. There are certainly many poetic descriptions as well as spiritual views on reality that would seem scientifically impossible. Answers in Genesis and the Institute for Creation Research are both organizations which have bona fide scientists (astronomers, geologists and biologists) who have done first person research that presents a differing and (to the fair-minded) legitimate interpretation of the data and evidence available for our observation. No geologist digs up a rock with a little tag that says, "Hi, I'm 4 billion years old" or, "Hi, I'm 7 thousand years old". Scientific data requires interpretation and the worldview and presuppositions of the scientists involved in the data collection will influence their interpretation of that data. That said, God definitely accepts the repentance of people from every background with any given set of political, scientific and social beliefs. No one has to have it all figured out when they come to Him for mercy and salvation. I am deeply grateful for that truth.

How the early church viewed Genesis is an extremely important point. Paul speaks of Adam in multiple letters. Peter refers to Abraham and Sarah; he also mentions Noah and his family ("8 persons"). Stephen in Acts 7, starts with Abraham and goes through Joseph and the early generations of Israelites in verse 17. These are 3 examples of people who viewed Genesis as an accurate historical account. Jesus himself mentioned Adam, Eve, Abel, Noah, Abraham and Lot as well as other Genesis characters. This is not a comprehensive list of Genesis characters in the New Testament. The point is that an Apostolic hermeneutic definitely views Genesis as literal history. The writer of Hebrews begins the narrative of the heroes of faith with creation "through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God". There is no indication that the Book of Acts church belived in "millions of years". Jesus taught clearly that God made human beings, "male and female" and did so "from the beginning" which makes perfect sense if the earth were only a few days old at that point and no sense if there were millions of years of death and suffering before Adam and Eve.

The Jews appear anciently to have divided the day/night (from sunset to sunrise) into three watches. These three special hours for prayer-morning, noon, and night. Psalms 55:17 (KJV) Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Daniel 6:10 (KJV) Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. With that being said; Hipparchus, whose work primarily took place between 147 and 127 B.C., proposed dividing the day into 24 equinoctial hours, based on the 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness observed on equinox days. We also know that the scriptures say: Psalms 90:4 (KJV) For a thousand years in thy sight [are but] as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night. 2 Peter 3:8 (KJV) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Word Yôm that’s used in the Old Testament specifically in Genesis Chapter 1 means Hot. But could be referring to the distinction of heat from the sun in what we would consider day time and no heat when the moon is out and what we would consider night time. The word also can mean so much more with seasons, years, dispensation of time, etc.. So it’s hard to give a clear answer of what a day meant to The Lord that created the heavens and the earth. We know that ultimately God is All Powerful and I think we can all agree that God could have and has the ability to create the heavens and earth and all that is in them in an instant. Just know that our understanding of and interpretation of these scriptures isn’t going to effect our Salvation. We shouldn’t allow this to cause division or take up to much of our time. God is in control and it’s time for God’s Church to stay United through His Love and by His Holy Spirit.

But healings still occur today. Just not as much. I personally know one lady who was healed of stage 4 cancer on Passover night while she sat in the service for the foot washing, the eating of the unleavened bread, and the drinking of the wine. As far as showing such things happening on T.V., today, I think that people still wouldn't believe it was God healing those people. They'd come up with something to deny it. That's just where we are today, I'm afraid. Healing is a personal thing between me and my Creator, and whenever it happens with me, I sure wouldn't want it advertised. And yes, I've been healed of things according to what is written in James 5:13-16. Faith to being healed is Key, tho. And it's not OUR puny human faith that does it, it's the Faith of Christ that heals us, we just need to ask for it.

Scientists are not hostile to the Bible story of creation, they just recognize it as fable. -- Saying that everything the Bible teaches is true is false. Later on he qualifies this as theological truth, I can abide by that as 'theological truth' has no relationship to physical reality so it can be whatever floats your boat, or Ark as the case may be. A positive here is his saying that the Bible is not going to relate scientific facts. But will he abandon that when we get to the age of the Earth? He then says "God created the universe and humans" but fails to show us why we should take that as physical truth rather than theological truth. No criterion has been put forth to distinguish the two. Oooh, when talking about the genealogy of Matthew leaving out generations he admits that the text was manipulated to make untrue things seem to be true! He admits that the Bible is spun like a modern political contest! He presents the "Earth created old" scenario, then starts explaining the silly aspects of that concept. His understanding of geologic forces is rather shallow, but he applies the concepts correctly. So he is actually debunking the YEC concept here. Ah, he is pulling out the time dilation excuse for six God days for the 4.5 billion years, but that ignores that the Bible explicitly states diurnal cycles. Eh, he presents the erroneous but common version of the Big Bang, the one that ignores QM invalidating the premises needed to get to the singularity. Will we never be able to purge that "lies to children" presentation of the theory? I do get tired of explaining that the necessary conditions for the theory to be valid fail as you get close to the nominal singularity, and we therefore know absolutely nothing about whether there was an actual start point. Also there was no explosion as most people conceive of that word, space itself expands, not some lump of matter expanding into an existing space. There was not light as Dr Bernard describes it until ~380,000 years after the expansion begins. He really needs to brush up on the theory, he is repeating some rather wrong ideas about it.

Also God lives out side of time therefore He dose not see time as we do he is eternal science cannot reconcile this. The whole creation is beyond the limits of science. Brother Bernard says that God speaks to us culturally because we are limited in our understanding does that mean God is limited cannot God bridge the communication gap in order to give clear revelation of his thoughts. So after a few rotations you oughta wind up or smear out those spiral patterns. They oughta disappear after a few rotations. Now most astronomers think that spiral galaxies are 10 billion+ years old. So why do we still see spiral patterns? You shouldn’t see those. Profound narrative. Psalm 147: 4 "He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names". In this scripture one can imagine beyond the big bang concept that each body of the galactic terrestrials were singularly created and placed by God in a very caring manner. It definitely gives insight in to how vast and infinite God is. Another example is Psalms 90:4 “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.” Peter quoted it as "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." So, I am left to believe as Bro. Bernard, the teaching is about God and not science.

For the vast amount of the time, I really appreciate Bernard’s teaching. However, there is a point here that must be approached with caution. Two points here are really good: the first point, that the Bible is not intended to be a “scientific book” and the last point, that all people are sinners in need of salvation via the New Birth. Where circumspection is required is the middle bit. Macro-evolutionists will insist that in order to have a meaningful discussion you must adopt their version of “science”, and it is very tempting (and easy) for those of us who do believe God’s Word as true to get sucked into looking at their “evidence” without thinking critically about what is being said. At the heart of observational science is the concept of a theory being 1) observable, 2) testable, and 3) repeatable. (I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this…and many contemporary macro-evolutionists are DESPERATELY trying to distance themselves from this cornerstone of scientific inquiry). For example, knowing the chemical makeup of vinegar and baking soda we can hypothesize that adding them together will create a reaction, and sure enough, when we put the two together (test and observe), our hypothesis is confirmed. Some other group in another part of the world can do the same thing (repeatable). Thus we can accept as valid that vinegar plus baking soda equals a big foamy mess. But a single celled creature gaining enough complexity to become a multi-cellular creature…pray tell us all…how does one DIRECTLY observe this for millions of years (nope, looking at a fossil record doesn’t count…that’s still a hypothesis that HAS TO BE TESTED)…And, uhm, what about all that information (directions) in the form of DNA that have to be generated to such a degree of perfection that otherwise you end up with…well…a big foamy mess. And as for testing…the theory is that you don’t have to intervene for the building blocks of life to somehow assemble themselves. So to create a test or experiment necessarily VIOLATES the whole premise of macro-evolution. In other words, no the Bible is not intended to be a “scientific” text (per se), HOWEVER , we can easily see some significant problems with macro-millions-of-years-evolution. The more intellectually honest way of approaching this issue is, rather than insisting that students declare that dinosaurs roamed the earth 60 million years ago, say “Hey, this is what we THINK might have happened but we really don’t have the capacity to verify it” rather than…wait for it…wait for it…have FAITH in what macro-evolutionists want to insist is absolutely true…

I partially agree, trying to prove the age of the universe using the Bible is probably not a good way to approach this subject. It is even more complicated by the fact that the Septuagint and the Masoretic text do not agree on this topic. The issue here is, no matter what your interpretation, you cannot interpret this subject in such a way as to have death occurring before the fall of Adam and Eve.

Einstein's theory of relativity proves that both things can be true at once. Time is relative to the observer. From earth's perspective, the universe could be thousands of years old, while from the perspective of light, it's billions of years old. Also, the Bible clearly describes the expansion of the universe; the expansion of space is much faster than the speed of light. So to me, it's a moot point.

Thank You! I appreciate your mention of different ideas and opinions on these subjects for context...... To me, there appears to be a distinction between 'creation' and 'formation' in the Bible...... I've always seen Genesis 1 as a brief overview from God's perspective..... In his 'creation' story God tells us firsthand how the universe came to be, as he describes it in simple terms.... God was/is not restricted to 24hour days or any measure of time in any way..... When the story begins, God hadn't yet 'created' the sun, moon, and stars which is how we calculate time. In Gen1 God talks about 'creating' everything including mankind..... then he's done...... it's "very good" (it functions in harmony)...... then he rests..... Yet in Gen2 some of the story is repeated but this time he says he 'forms' man.... At this point the Biblical perspective seems to shift from God's perspective (outside of time) to our perspective (linear time) as the Bible continues on from there..... We experience this ongoing 'formation' process firsthand because we're living inside it...... God doesn't.......The only exception being the few days he spent as a human being formed into flesh as Jesus. As far as God is concerned everything is completed..... Perhaps from God's perspective everything has always been, and always is completed....... Maybe from our perspective as humans, everything will always be forming and never completed.

Even if there were some unaccounted generations like Brother bernard says this still puts us in the 6-7 thousand year range. I do agree with his statement that the earth looked aged at creation as did Adam. Surely God did not bottle feed Adam and thus was creation with the appearance of age even tho he's was not . The Creation Story from Genesis 1. There are three main thoughts on Genesis 1 and the Six Days of Creation. These are a short list, just three... 1) It was Six 24-Hour days that the Earth and Heavens were created. There are variations that it was only the Earth or only from the time of Adam was a total of six days. 2) It was Six 'Thousand Years' days (the thousand years are more or less, but about a thousand years per day). 3) The Gap. In Genesis 1:1 God had created the Heavens and the Earth. That could have been millions or billions of years ago. In verse 2, God replenished the Earth with life. For those that study this - it is necessary that those that have a view on this they have read The Holy Bible over and over. They have read, studied, and meditated on God's Word. If they haven't done this part, then it would be too difficult for them to understand. That is what I believe is true. Of course, God has to help. It is important to consider the Angels. The Angels were also created by God. The Angels were apparently given FREE WILL. When some of them went against God... that was bad for them because they had become FALLEN ANGELS. A note on FREE WILL. I have often heard theologians and scholars say that we all have a free will, but that is not exactly true. Adam had a FREE WILL, but he fell. We are from Adam and we are already in a bad position. We may think we have FREE WILL, but we actually don't, but a fallen position where we need help from GOD. Enough said there. In Job 38, The Lord tells Job that the Sons of God (Angels) shouted for joy when the foundations were fastened... Job 38:4-7 The Sons of God Shouted 4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? When the foundations of the laid - when was that: what day? Also, when God created The Earth did he make it void first? Or was the Earth already existing as a void? In Isaiah 45:18 he created it not in vain or void... Isaiah 45:18 Not Created in Vain or Void 18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else. How long did it take to create the earth from this passage in Isaiah? When did the Fall of Angels occur which includes Satan? When the Serpent was in the garden Satan was already fallen. So when did the fall occur? Also, Neanderthal and Cro-Magnons don't seem to fit. When God made Adam, Adam was intelligent already. Otherwise, if God made man in his own image and if you believe in Evolution, what did God look like? Did he have a Neanderthal appearance, then did he also change in appearance after that? Then there is the dinosaur question. Reading Genesis 1 - I don't see any dinosaurs there. There may have been dinosaur-like creatures in the seas, but not on the land. I never saw where Adam met T-Rex or Triceratops. Also concerning the dinosaurs and science - there were three periods: The Triassic; the Jurassic; and the Cretaceous Period. The Cretaceous Period is when T-Rex and Triceratops were existing. Science has fossils and it is difficult to dispute. Now the fall of Satan is mentioned in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 - and you have to understand that in the Prophets there are oftentimes multiple applications. Again I say, those that have not spent time reading, studying, and meditating on God's Word; and have not been through the complete Holy Bible over and over... this might be too much to handle. To those that have, then please listen to what I will say. In Isaiah 14 - The Bright Morning Star or Lucifer rebelled against God. In this passage it speaks of The King of Babylon and beyond. This passage also speaks of The Beast that will be at his height in Revelation. Isaiah 14:12-15 Son of The Morning - Similar to Day Star 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. The Lord Jesus is called The Day Star by Simon Peter, and he is called The Bright and Morning Star in Revelation by The Lord himself... 2Peter 1:19-21 The Day Star - and The Holy Ghost Inspiring Prophets 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. In Revelation 22:16 The Bright and Morning Star 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. The Enemy is a deceiver and tries to act like he's The Lord Jesus. His title as Son of The Morning is close to Day Star and Bright and Morning Star. So for the three main thoughts of creation I have one more passage in the book of The Prophet Jeremiah 4... Jeremiah 4:23-26 The Pre-Adam Days God Destroyed the Earth 23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger. With this passage from Jeremiah it is easier to see the passages from Isaiah and Ezekiel... Ezekiel 28:11-18 The Fall of The Anointed Cherub - and King of Tyrus 11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. This passage speaks of The King of Tyrus, but it also speaks of the Anointed Cherub that fell. This will also be applicable in the 70th Week. When The Anointed Cherub was in Eden, The Garden of God - that was before Adam was in the Garden of Eden. This is either a different garden or the same garden, but a little different in Adam's time. Again, when did this occur? Walking in the Garden of God. Now, as in Isaiah 14 this individual had a kingdom. This one here mentions that he had sanctuaries. Hmm. He was perfect in all his ways... until iniquity was found. Pride found its way. The devil and pride are closely related. Therefore, I have to go with the Gap. Most modern scholars will go with the Creation of the Heavens and Earth in Six Days, and different scholars vary in that theology. I am in the minority here, but that's okay with me. My reading, studying, meditations, and understanding of God's Word has me to believe that there was a gap in verse 1 and verse 2 in Genesis chapter 1. Salvation is not based on what a person believes on in Genesis 1:1,2 - and I prefer not to argue too deeply on the matter. I will end it here.

'I think I have more questions about that than the age of the Earth' Why wait for someone to make a video and upload it in order to find the answers you are looking for? There are plenty of free resources online to learn about biological evolution.

@@philipbuckley759 I don't understand this comment, either :-) are you talking about 'adding information to the genome', which I hear young-earth creationists mention often? Biological evolution is not about chance, really. I mean, mutations can occur randomly, of course, but natural selection isn't random, and other aspects of evolution are not random.. and 'information' accumulates in several ways. Gene duplication would be one of them. Gene Duplications are a common starting point for the evolution of new genetic information. When gene duplications occur, they dramatically lengthen the genetic code of an individual. As point mutations add up in the duplicated region across generations, entirely new genes with new functions can evolve. That's just one example, there are other ways new genes form. Anyway, if 'new information' could not be added, don't you think biologists / geneticists would have figured that out a long, long time ago?

@@francestrewin1715 I don't know about any 'Godly' information concerning evolution, unless we're talkin about intelligent design I suppose, but she or he could hit up PubMed, Google Scholar, Etc and find hundreds of thousands of technical scientific peer-reviewed papers on the subject of biological evolution. That is, *if* the person is honestly interested in learning about evolution, of course.

Wow, I've been waiting for you Ptr. Bernard to tackle this topic, for I backslid because of the scienrific views and I thought it is inconsistent woth the bible... but, With you being said that science is consistent with the bible, and that billions of years creation may be true, I have trouble combining the idea in Genesis that God formed man, and in scientific view, evolution from primordial soup, to fish, to ape, to man? Anyone who replies and answers will be greatly appreciated...🙂

Brother there is so so so much evidence for young earth and many people and scientists ready and willing to prove ,debate, and share that information. First of all if God said it its true and he Clearly gave us the geanalogies from Adam to Jesus. Do the math you can't quezze millions of years any where. The earth and its inhabitants were created instantly in 6 days period the Bible is clear on this. The devil Job is to get you to doubt this just like he did with eve. All you have to do is reject his lies and lean on God's word. If you don't understand stand something prayer for revelation. He will answer. Kent hovind debated almost every university in the 1990s and destroyed there best prophessors and all there evidence. Go to KZbin and watch all his debates you will doubt Young earth again.

What we taught in science at school is mostly controlled by the devil and isn't true. I think u need to do a study on flat earth and it will give u all the answers u need. Today's science will always contradicts what the bible says because the devil is behind it. The bible said the devil is the father of lies.

@@kimlayne1993 the earth isn’t flat!! I’ve been up over 47,000ft and have seen the curvature myself! The Bible says “He took the circle of the earth and suspended it upon nothing”. The earth is most definitely round!! God made it that way and it’s clear in scripture.

Adam was certainty not 1st man. Scripture means what it says & says what it means. So when Jesus said from the beginning of the creation God made them male & female’ also.. ‘he which made them at the beginning made them male & female’.. Gen1:1 Mk10:6 Matt19:4 Mk13:19 Heb1:10 The wonderful thing about believing holy scripture is freedom from doubt. This act to which Jesus referred was: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male & female created he them & God blessed them’, & God said to them, “Be fruitful, & multiply, & replenish the earth, & subdue it: & have dominion over the fish of the sea, & over the fowl of the air, & over every living thing that moves upon the earth & God said, Behold, I have given you EVERY. ( Yes here it says every read all inclusive ) herb yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, & EVERY tree, ( Yes here it says every read all inclusive) in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.” Gen1:27-29 But when God made Adam and placed him in GARDEN God was very specific ; And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: ] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. Genesis 2:16-19 Adam was specifically told v2:17 not eat of Tree knowledge of good and evil. Gen1 and Gen2 are separate accounts. Time betwixt 2event unspecified Jesus was clear also. For He did not say from time of Garden He made Adam and Eve. But rather Jesus spoke on this wise. from the beginning of the creation God made them male & female’ also.. ‘he which made them at the beginning made them male & female Not Adam and Eve, not from the time of garden. Jesus meant what was said and said what he meant Adam and Eve were not in the creation... accept that scripture means what is said and says what it means Man in Gen1 was made From nothing Ex-Nehlio... Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Yet Adam in Gen2 was formed from dust of ground and Eve was formed from Adam's rib... thus Adam and Eve of Gen2 are not made Ex-nehlio from nothing as were the man and woman in the beginning thus Gen1 and Gen2 are completely different events

Time dilation as per Einsteins theory satisfies my sense of reality and does not take anything away from the miraculous power of God but in fact emphasis it “Now we can try to imagine God creating the universe, “stretching out the heavens” (Psalm 104:2) on Day 4 of Creation Week. This would entail massive gravitational forces and enormous differences in speeds, both of which would change the time ‘out there’ compared to planet Earth. Thus, in one Earth day (Day 4) an enormous amount of time could transpire ‘out there’ allowing ample time for the light to travel to Earth.” So neither old creationists or young creationists are wrong. It just depends on how you wish to interpret things. The flat earth model was the accepted norm for thousands of years till mankind began to explore the earth then it was concluded that it must be spherical. The concept of an old universe conforms better with our modern day scientific understanding as we can substantiate things with observation and calculations. Taking the six day creation view does not help in regard to gaining knowledge and exploring things. It’s more of a faith thing. Leaves nothing open to discovery it’s then just a miraculous mystery. For many that works just fine. But for those who have an enquiring approach to life it’s too dumbed down. There must be more. Scientific discovery I find is not at odds with my faith but rather makes me more aware of how mighty God really is.

This is only the second video of this guy I've ever watched and I'm probably done.... He definitely eisegetes the text and brings his own views into his interpretation instead of letting God's work speak for itself.... I read one comment down the list about radiocarbon dating and it's obvious that the writer of this particular comment knows nothing about radiocarbon dating or parent isotope dating. From what I see in the world the lord Jesus is going to save a lot of people who are very wrong as long as they believe that he is the Son of God and was raised from the dead....

Young Earth creationists exclude the first earth age. It requires poor mental gymnastics to deny the literal interpretation of the verses which discuss this age. They are well-equipped to rise to the task.
