In high school back in like 2009-2011, one of my teachers played the country station on a radio in class all the time. When I heard this song, I asked him what the name of it was and he said he didn't know. It took me several years before I was able to remember more than just the sound of the melody and I searched red light country song and finally found it lol if you ever had a moment like this, you know how happy you get when you finally find a song that often plays in your head but you couldn't remember any lyrics

I remember hearing this song for the first time. It was the Sunday after school let out for summer. My girlfriend of 2 1/2 years and I broke up. It was a beautiful Indiana day, 75 degrees, I remember, sun shining, I got in my 1987 Z28 and me and a few friends went out to eat that afternoon to cheer me up. This song came on and it reminded me so much of her and we as soon as "At a red light" was said, I stopped at a red light and I broke down crying and had to pull over. This song along with the girl have a special place in my heart. We are still good friends but this song gets me emotional every time I listen to it.

This song reminds me of the day I lost my mom. I was stuck at a red light on a beautiful, sunny Sunday staring at the hospital my mom was taken to. I didn't know what happened, only that it wasn't good. I broke down crying while sitting there. I stared at the clock and remembered it was exactly 1pm. After waiting for 20 minutes at the hospital, my dad came in our families room and said she didn't make it. She died of a massive heart attack. She was pronounced dead at 1pm. It isn't exactly what I had in mind for goodbye. Oh and my dads name is David.

The cool thing about music is that every note and every word can be interpreted different depending on the individual.... To me it describes the complete devastation one feels when they are rejected by someone they love and trust and how people are just going on with life as normal, when my whole world was just torn apart. I remember when it happened to me....it was hard to believe that the world didn't stop. Everyone went on with life like nothing happened. Even my friends couldn't really understand the despair that I felt. Obviously, I realized that not everyone is going through what I was but the saddness grips you and it's all you can see in that moment. It is something that never leaves. I've gotten used to it but I'll never get over it....
