I won't be able to get off of that matt😢. I've had a Rhizotomy done recently, which was unsuccessful, resulting in more severe pain.

My sister endured terrible sciatica pain and lower body weakness for three years. Steroid injections provided some relief, but the discomfort returned. The pandemic then struck, forcing a postponement of her operation just as she was about to check in to the hospital for it. She thankfully came across yoga and started taking some online yoga sessions, and lo and behold, after many months of devoted practice, she excitedly reported to her doctor that her sciatica pain was gone. She is now fully operational and in better health than before. She has been pain-free for a number of years. I'm following in her footsteps in the hopes that I can heal from my recent spinal stenosis diagnosis. It seems like the yoga technique is the most effective exercise I've attempted so far. I appreciate you providing these exercises.

I did surgery 11months ago having dics bulge spinal stenosis and was fine after this 10months but now it returned again and the doctor said I have again dics bulge having too much back pain

oh my gosh, I have been very uncomfortable for 2 days, I decided to look on the internet on exercises to help relieve the pain, I did the leg on the table, but I used a chair, I am72 years old. and right away after performing this I felt a total relief. Thank you, thank you.

I can feel the authentic and kind energy. You cant get poor by giving and thats what you are doing. It is so unselfish what you are doing and so small thing can chance someones life so much. Beatiful soul, keep helping and know that the help will always get back to you. You are a mirackle

Yesterday I couldn’t walk from the pain in my left hip and back.. and I was searching on KZbin to find some help and I find You 🙏 After 20 minutes working with you I recovered from the pain. I could sleep!!! Thanks so much for your wonderful and simple set of stretches. I am absolutely grateful and I am going to do this set forever. Today I already worked twice with you and I feel much better; more flexible and relaxed. Now I know that I have control to recover from my chronic pain .... Be blessed;)

Bozena this fills my heart with so much JOY 😍 I suffered from sciatica pain for so long, and it's my greatest joy helping others overcome this pain. Pain that I know can sometimes feel debilitating and hopeless. But it's not hopeless!! May these stretches and exercises open the door to relief, healing and true recovery from your pain. I did see my doctor thinking I was heading for a hip replacement. I was shocked when he looked at some X-rays and said it was arthritis in my lower back pinching my Sciatic nerve. These exercises have really helped

Hello David i been suffering from sciatica since 2103 my life was really going from bad to worst i have been taking so much medication and pain killers nothing will help last month i was planing on having surgery but Im glad to find you video in less than 3 weeks i can feel the pain climbing back from the feet now is just on buttock . I’m a yoga teacher with chronic back pain & herniated discs, and that is the absolute best cuing I’ve ever heard for Sphinx pose. So many people say they don’t feel this pose. I always have but the creating space in the low back is a new sensation for me and has added even more benefit for me in this pose, thank you!

Oh that is WONDERFUL Sharmina! I always tell my students with sciatica pain, when all else fails try putting your legs up the wall like that. Staying for 5 minutes is a great because it not only helps to create space in the low back and hamstrings, but it helps to relax your whole body and welcome a state of balanced energy - all of which helps with sciatica. I'm so happy this is helping you! 🙏

Been sitting or aying down a lot since my surgery last week. Sciatica pain was making a difficult situation even.more difficult. Just did this workout and insted of heaviness nd pain i feel the relaxed and happy muscles. Thank you for your help. 🙏

Great video sitting far too much through lockdown on the computer on a hard chair hence in agony now will do your exercises I think my back is weak doing a job making beds for a number of years

you are God-sent. I bent badly to pick up something yesterday and when standing I felt a snap in my side. Since then I have walking around like a car with a twisted chassis and needing to go on an alignment stand. (You should see me trying to stand up) When I saw your video ..I simply leaned to the opposite direction and "Bingo!" I'm young again!!!

I find it more comforting to have my legs against the wall and I start feeling the pain as I try to cross my left leg over my right for piriformis

I have a bulged disc from a rear end accident from 2013. The first stretches helped me. Couldn't get passed the first one because of how much pain I'm in. I did it for 5 minutes on and off and then did some other ones they taught me from physical therapy. It has relieved so much pain right now. Thank you! 🥰

Hi Christina! I'm so sorry that you're suffering from this pain. I'm happy to hear the first stretches helped you. When doing these, or any stretches always try and be gentle and avoid forcing yourself into any stretch that feels painful or unreasonable in your body. It's better to just stretch a little bit each day, rather that trying to push yourself too far all at once. I'm glad you're combining these stretches with the ones you learned in physical therapy! Just keep listening to your body and do the exercises and stretches that feel intuitively good in your body. May you continue on a path of healing 🙏💓

Your way of explaining is really impressive now i understand the difference between priformis and disc bulging...i want to know which position is best to sleep in priformis also can we cure it fully and pain killers are not so helpful ...i cant sleep cant sit due to pain deepinside my hip

Hi David, I have suffered from sciatica on and off for years and have usually found relief from a variety of different stretches. However with this latest bout nothing was working until I tried your dining table exercise. I wasn't going to try it as I didn't think I'd be able to do it. I gave it a go and straight away I started noticing the difference. Can't say how grateful I am. Brilliant!

Wow Wow Wow! I'm so very much grateful. I'm already having some relief. I didn't want to see any doctor for this. I didn't know what it was. But, I felt that the pain was coming from my right sacroiliac joint. And so, I started looking for exercises that could touch my right sacroiliac joint. That was how I came across your videos. I'm glad I did. I know that by the time I'm done learning from the video, and I start doing the exercises without looking at the video, I'll become a healthy late sixties. Thank you so very much.

I've been diagnosed by my doctor that I suffer from Bone Spurs (Osteophytes): and was restricted from taking Diclophenac and ibuprofen, but only take paracetamol which does help a bit. After watching your video, I'll try and follow your simple exercise and see how it'll go.. Of course I'll be very careful as the pain is intense on right side stemming from lower right back. Thank you so much! The stretches took away the pain instantly! I was at the point of crying..luckily I found this and I am relieved..I was able to do all of those poses except the one with the tennis ball and the foam roller but all's well! I'll buy a tennis ball soon. thanks once again!

I was desperate to find relief. I even did some streches from a chiropractor in KZbin and no relief. I was scrolling through and I found your video. I did your yoga poses and I feel so much better. My pain is almost gone. Though I still I'm still stiff and a bit of aches. Thank you so much now I can take a nap since I barely sleep last night. Thanks a bunch

Thanks David! I won't tell you how many doctors have told me there is no such thing as piriformis syndrome. After 10 years, I know better! I have rolled for years (which helps very slowly). I have quite a variety of rollers and balls. These work, but for a short time as it goes back to knots. I have been told to stop stretching out the sciatica nerve as it will make it worse. I've been really working on my glute muscles and this is helping. The sit bone stretch is wonderful without the sciatica stretch with the bent knee. The fire hydron is great! Thanks for this video!

Dr's can not help except with painkillers . So instead, of admitting they can't they may criticize an alternative practioner . A good Dr will advise you try other treatments physio exercise chiropractor etc. Walking is one thing I find most helpful . I walk miles . I can be in pain starting off but as I walk the pain starts to improve but you need to walk daily

What helps me increase blood supply to my hip. However, for some, it can make it worse, so try icepack instead . Gelpack can be used fir heat or cold microwave it or freeze it. Heat from Hot water bottle lasts long time longer than gel pack . Make sure to wrap in material so you don't burn your skin

I have being experiencing sciatic problem last two years, and was almost giving up. I went out From my country Somalia to Ethiopia to get specialist doctors of spine problems, after check ups, doctor told me I have no problem in my spine and described me to do some exercises including like this ones, now I have being doing that exercise last 20 days and I am feeling much better and strong ness. Also my hope to recover that pain is very high

Thank you for this, David! I had pain for a few months and stuff from a physio were not working. After trying your stretches and exercises, I found relief and improvement every day. It's been about two months and there is still a bit of pain, but it's much better than before. I was doing everything twice a day, but it seems I only need to do it once a day now (I think).

It’s almost 8 AM here in Oregon and usually I can only sleep a couple of hours at a time and then have to use cream and take all kinds of over-the-counter medication’s. I’ve only been able to watch a little bit of this video but I’m definitely going to save it because I just know what you’re doing is going to help me. I’ve been unable to get to the doctor because I can’t drive and I have no friends living nearby and all my family is on the East Coast. So I’m basically on my own and I am very miserable. Of course the doctor will not prescribe pain medication’s with just a teleconference and I’ve been miserable for almost a month now. Thank you for doing this video! This all started the morning after I picked up a 45 pound box of cat litter. I was amazed I could pick it up at 72 years old. But I really do think that is why I’m in such pain. Thank you again!

Thx David. You are a saviour. Seems like i have chronic sciatic pain coz its keep coming back after 2-3 months. I have been to chiropractors but they will never tell me the real fix rather keep booking me for appointments hence minting money out of my insurance. Gonna try these stretches from now on and hope to fix this problem once and for all.

Thanks so much David. I’m finding the exercises on the piriformis really helpful. I’m doing them all. The tennis ball idea is inspired. For me i found it works well, as a gentle start, standing, rolling the ball between hip & kitchen worktop edge. Best wishes.

Thank you for this video. I’ve been doing pigeon pose on dining table for few months and I wasn’t sure if I could used dining table as a prop. Really glad that there are people use dining table as a prop too. Sometimes it’s kind of lazy to get on my mat.
