I don't believe we are bound to the Sabbath law. However I do think that human beings and families are better physically, emotionally , mentally, and spiritually for keeping Sunday special. We need a rest after five /six days . We work far better for breaks , during our working day and weekly and annually. It is part of our British culture as David says . That is a good thing not a bad. On Sunday as a child, I was not allowed to play cards , or even to play the piano. We didn't put washing out to dry , mow the lawn or any other kind of work. My aunt who lived with us was brought up , I think, by Scots presbyterians. Kaytey

@Most matter factly did David speaks of the Noahic, the Davidic and the Abrahamic covenants, when no Minister I've heard say such Peter in Act 3;25, and Paul in Galatians 3:8 mentions the Abrahamic passages. From our readings, David will reign King forever and Jesus as King of kings and even the rainbow in the book of Revelations. It's better for Ministers to listen David Pawson than for them try and read on their own. Most are already lost, so why would they not take his wealth of knowledge and live and those hear them. God bless you!!!

I’m interested to know on what basis we know that some these people greeted at the end of Romans are Paul’s relatives? That’s interesting! But where do we learn of this?

16:21 Timothy my fellow worker greets you, and so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen. (is one place he might have been referring to, although it may just mean "fellow Jews") shalom

Its good to read the Present with Religion, a book for free on the internet.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the truth is the key factor in our salvation.We must know the truth and live in it and change ourselves according to it in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of the truth there comes true repentance which means changing our minds and alsi true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctificstion which is a lifelong process.And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is the time and ability to make the proper change.Only in this way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation.Lets not wait any longer.

When God showed me the truth I got married and baptised within 2 weeks at age 21 thinking this is right I was living the the father of my child unmarried and I understood what God wanted. I then went through all kinds of temptations only to drop to my knees everytime and he comforted me through his word and spirit. But I went through a horrible circumstances with my husband that left me on my stairs crying out to God what should I do??! I heard clear as day “ forgive” this battle on the stairs was the hardest in my other ear I could hear the enemy “what’s the point I try all for what”. I made the worst decision of my whole life. I stood up and said “I can’t forgive” I ran out of my house from my children and husband straight back to the old lifestyle I quenched the spirit and felt him leave then eventually conviction for sin left aswell. That was 6 years ago. My question is even tho my falling away cause my mum brothers a lot of people to stop being Christians aswell. I have put down the obvious sins drinking smoking ect and I thought he might be calling me back but I have doubts will God still take me back and fill me again with his spirit? Or am I as good as a foolish virgin and no fruit to show only broken lives around me?

Why would only the 4th commandment not be applied in the new covenant? I don't think that you'd say that of any of the other commandments. The word Sabbath or Sabbaths is mentioned 172 times throughout the Bible; 60 of these are found in the New Testament. If Christ had changed the Sabbath day to Sunday, surely He or the apostles who followed in His steps would have explained the change. After all, you say at 34:53 to "imitate Christ." I think that's where my confusion lies. As for the Sunday Sabbath, that's a Catholic creation and, for me, therefore a non-starter. No, I'm not a SDA. I cannot find a logically satisfactory answer to these questions no matter where I look. I understand that the new covenant fulfils the law, so please don't explain that to me.

HI This is Steve on behalf of David. David has done a series of videos on the 'Covenants' .....Whilst David at 89 years of age is no longer able to answer individual questions his views are explained in more detail in these series

Thank you for the response. I will be sure to watch the Covenants series to try to settle the issue for myself. We're blessed to have Dr. Pawson's teachings and I am so very grateful. May God bless you all.

We are in the 8th day of creation now, the new creation. Jesus is the firstborn from the dead of the new creation. As Jesus said the father works and he works. Thats why the jews didnt like him for doing God's work on the sabbath. He is making a new people first before new heavens and earth
@nashvillain1715 жыл бұрын
And can you point to scripture saying "We are in the 8th day of creation"?
@ianjones18395 жыл бұрын
@@nashvillain171 I phrased it wrong sorry. I meant to say God is making his new creation since Jesus came. And it is the salvation of men before he makes the rest. I think 8 is resurrection number.

how can i stop smokeing
@suzanholland3 жыл бұрын
Decide to. That may sound simple, but I found that after many times "trying to quit" by various means over the years, it wasn't until I "decided not to" that I was successful. What I mean is, you are not in bondage to the flesh (if you are in Christ), and you can say no to your fleshly desires--even when it comes to addiction. If you have never fasted, you might want to try that first--it is a GREAT way to learn how to take command of your flesh. You CAN say no to the flesh. I hope that helps. It also helps in times of desire to tell yourself outloud, "I want to be God-honoring with my body and physically healthy MORE than I want this cigarrette." shalom
@santtuhyytiainen11 ай бұрын
One way is to deside you won't smoke today and make that desition again every morning. If that is too hard, you can in the morning choose not to take a morning smoke. Then repeat that for every time you usually take a smoking break, to not smoke at that time.
