My first real car was a 69 Roadrunner 383 4B. Bought off a used car lot for $ 1,200 about 1973.. was in very good shape with an air grabber hood. I can remember filling it up for 20 bucks.. I was washing dishes for 1.65 and hour which was min. wage back then. I got into construction sold it and bought a truck.

Man I couldn't imagine paying that for the car. I was born in 77 and think my age group, those if us who were turning 16 in the early mid 90s were the last age-group able to still buy an old muscle car for 1500 bucks and be able to build a car on a budget. Seems like as soon as barrett jackson really hit the scene all the good deals went away. You still find one here or there but the days of a kid finding a old car and be able to buy it and tinker to make it what they want are gone.

I'm farming out the paint and bodywork on this car so it will be up to the bodyshop on what they prefer using. I like to use dura glass or an all metal product.

Is that gonna be a vinyl top car? Or will body shop smooth out the sail panels? Looking awesome so far
