It's IMPOSSIBLE not to smile seeing Veronica perform WOW

Overjoyed to see this incredible tradition, the foundation of which was laid down by Ella, Sarah, and Billie, being carried on at such a high level by Cecile, Jazzmeia and Veronica. The greatest of American musics.

"...the foundation of which was laid down by Ella, Sarah, and Billie..." --and let's not forget Veronica's hero and mentor, Anita O'Day!

@@bricology I'm glad Veronica had a mentor, but all of the singers I mentioned came before Anita was born. THAT'S laying the foundation.
@dianeelder54433 жыл бұрын
@@helgar791 Sorry, no. Ella, Sarah, Billie and Anita were all contemporaries with Sarah being the youngest. Veronica has patterned herself after Anita.

As soon as Miss V. takes over the mic, she fills the stage and the whole venue. Great fun over all her directiveness, acting like a little demagogue, as a conductor of the band, sweetheart of the audience, a hell of a singer, and even a bassplayer impersonator as well.
@jsolomonmusic2 жыл бұрын
if it was just her superb artistry, but she is so giving and genuine which makes her impossible to not conect with at all levels. She does that not only with the audience but also and always with the musicians she shares the stage with. What else can you say, WoW!!!

Wow, Veronica looks even more beautiful without bangs- are you and Brian an item? I am a new fan thanks to Canada's GREATEST jazz station- out of Toronto- on a dull morning, sleepy and blue- here comes Veronica...wow. I got on KZbin as soon as I got home and found you in a corset type blouse and very piratey, black and white stripe pants- I love the way you dress too. You do mellow, This Bitter Earth- gotta buy it but you also scat up the joint. When I scrolled you up popped Veronica Swift and Nine Inch Nails- I own one or two of their CDs, must admit to "having to be in the mood" strange period on my life when I bought them even though I love rock and roll first, I guess- I'm so glad if you are one in the same- that you switched to jazz. Your voice is superb. In that tradition of Ella, Billie, Molly, Jill etc- You have a new fan who is off to buy a CD. Namaste. (Please come to Hamilton, Ontario- we get by-passed being so close to Toronto)

I agree, but the real reason is basic, real music is under appreciated, over all, today. By the way, this set was 4 years ago. She is packing them in today, all over the world!! So grateful for her! She’s a great gift!!
