Hello everybody👋 I'm reading the Hantek6022BE user manual, it's not indicated the maximum applicable voltage between the probe and the ground clamp. I would like to show to my students dephases in resistive, inductive and capacitive circuits, in 230VAC. For current measurement, this is not a problem. But for the 230V voltage, I'm afraid to burn out the oscilloscope...

The probes should be able to handle that with a problem, They provide internal isolation up to several hundred volts.

Hi - follow up question... do you know if it's possible to connect a current clamp to the Hantek 6022? I was looking to pair a UNI-T UT210D clamp to whatever oscop I go for - many thanks

To be honest, I am not really sure. When I last used a current clamp it was on a more much more sophisticated O-Scope.

Having problems with install on a Win11, I had previously installed this software on a Win10 computer. Not sure if I should just delete the drivers in the WIN10 folder and add the others...

I have not tried it on Win 11 (yet), but it sounds like you have a workable idea there. Let me know how it goes.

You will need to add the digital analyzer probes. Did yours come with a set of those? I think it depends on which model you purchased.

I really don't think they would work on a MAC. Maybe you can reach out to Hantek to see if they have any. Also, have you checked out the drivers on their Website?

I've been using it for a couple of weeks now using OpenHantek software on my linux machine. I find it quite hard to display charging and discharging capacitors due to problems with sampling rate and the div/s. Overall, has an average performance for the general observations of the circuits but has a problem with specific measurements.

I agree. It is not a high quality O-Scope by any stretch of the imagination. It does barely more than the $40 kit scopes sold by a couple of companies on the other side of the World (at least if you are in North America). It can only get you in the City (not even the Bali-Park) of Engineering detail that a lot of people need. That is why, very soon I will showing a quality 4-channel Digital O-Scope that I plan on using for any 'serious' Engineering work, that is not dependent on a PC and provided PC software. Thanks for the walkthrough. Do both USB ports need to be plugged into the PC? The laptop I want to use only has a single USB outlet - could I use an external USB power source for the second plug? Regards

The red one is for Power. You could use a USB power adapter for that one.

You can use only 1 usb connector, it depend on where do you plug in the oscilloscope. At certain speeds the USB 3 ports can provide 0.9 A, personally my PC has a USB port with a power of 1A

Following your instructions about how to install the Hantech 6022 USB device the installation on my Win 10 desktop PC worked like a charm. But the same was not the case when I tried to repeat the success on my laptop. The laptop computer found the driver when the Hantech 6022 was connected, but in addition to the text Hantek60022BE DRIVER 2 there appeared a yellow triangle at the beginning of this text. Clicking on this text a new window popped up telling me that Windows could not approve the signature of the driver for my laptop computer. Some alternative possible reasons for this were given, but I am at a complete loss as to what to do next. It would be greatly appreciated if you here could give me a helping hand.

I've been struggling with this one most of the day. Go to Device Mgr then the driver and update it manually by navigating to the folder containing the downloaded driver

Many people have had problems installing this unit, which seem to be related to the particular Windows Build they are using. What I always do is update my Windows to the latest build when I encounter issues such as this.

Does it have UART, SPI, IIC decoding function?

The utility is part of the actual software that you need to use with the unit. It is one of the menu items that I show in this video.

You should avoid all Caps, since that causes KZbin to put the comment in a hold bucked for a few days. You measure by getting the full AC Sine Wave centered on the screen, then looking at both the resolution you set on the scope then measure the Peak-to-Peak (Vp2p) height. Then you use the formula: Vrms=Vp2p*0.353 Some more advanced scopes can be set to display that on the corner of the screen. I do not believe this one has that option however.

Mr. Timmer, I will take a look at testing that and possibly creating a quick follow-up video showing the results. I have not tried the Hantek O-Scope on Windows 11, however I've had trouble with the drivers for other USB devices, so that is likely at the root of the problem.

I now have three of them with the Hantek being in the middle (not counting one I build as a kit 15-years ago, that I lent to a co-worker who quit a week later and my Scope never to be seen again ).

Yes, my plan right now is to make that the topic of my next Live Stream (taking either 6/18 or 6/19), however I want to finish part of my new VM Server build first (since I have parts strewn all over my studio right now). That build should be VERY interesting (having test populated and tested the motherboard, CPU, Memory, SSD, 360 deg AIO, and PSU), since it is Very fast 🙂

Nice Video, but... But you are talking about an OSCILLOSCOPE (which is the 6022BE), but you are installing the software and the driver for an LOGIC-ANALYZER (which is the 6022BL)... I bought the OSCILLOSCOPE, and followed your instructions... and it did not work! Because I installed the LOGIC-ANALYZER-software for an OSCILLOSCOPE! I repeated the same steps, but this time I choosed the 6022BE, and it was sucessfull! BUT: I bought this oscilloscope, because of the very, very slow timebase (up tp 5000 sec/div). But that value is bullshit! This oscilloscope is not sampling slower that 1 sec/div!!! There are 10 div on the X-axis, and every slower measurement (2, 5 or 1000 sec/div) needs 10 seconds! The 1 kHz signal output has 50 % duty-cycle, that is 500 µsec high and 500 µsec low. And when I look to the recorded file, I can see 50 entries a voltage around 2 Volt, and 50 entries around 0 volt. With a choodes timebase of 10 sec/div! Or 5000 sev/div! Every value greater/equal 1 sec/div gives exactly the same result! In other words: This oscilloscope makes samples not slower that 10 microseconds per sample... And that is 5 times faster than my 'normal' oscilloscope! Well, normally 'faster' means 'better'... but my idea was to record very, very slow signals over a time periode of several hours... But this oscilloscope is not able to do this!

That oscilloscope is very low-end - sort of a 'starter' unit. I have not used it as Logic Analyzer as of yet. I bought a 4-Channel Siglent Scope a few months back that was on sale. That is a True production digital scope that I will probably do a review of later this summer.

I saw a few of those. I actually had it for nearly a year before I created this review. When I first tried to install the S/W it was nearly impossible and took a LOT of effort (with the Driver part of the install). I decided to try it again with the fresh load of Windows 10 shown in this video and they clearly fixed the problem I was have, and probably what led to so many bad reviews and customer ratings.
