Reporting from Upshur county Texas. Arctic blast and winds from the North have arrived. It is currently in the low 20’s, but when I tell you that this is a WHOLE different kind of cold!!! I was outside for just a few minutes and my hands were literally hurting! PLEASE BE CAREFUL and wear layers of clothing! Protect yourself, your animals, and don’t forget to check on the elderly! Praying for everyone! Don’t know if Upshur county will get snow or not, some models say we will and others not.

Woke up this morning to find the back door and gate open ….Today of all days. Did a check, sure enough our little 15 lb dog was out…..on 500 acres. We got lucky, he came right in when called. I think it’s too cold for even him. I guess the wind blew the door open but all is shut tight and ready for this cold blast.

any other 54 yr old folks like me remember the winter of 1976? that was coldest winter I ever seen , then for decades it got warmer , now it seem to be trending colder again , when your alive for 5 decades , you can see the temperature goes in cycles, not just getting warmer , like if global warming was true , they really shouldn't be trying to reflect sunlight back into space like they're doing since it's clearly getting colder , here in nj last few springs , didn't warm up till late may mid June, same as winter of 76 , I pray we don't have blizzard like that again, that was just scary 🥶

Please people in Deep South, do not drive if possible. Very alarming on record snow for Deep South. Even if just 2 inch of snow occurs, for them it doesn't take much to cause problems. Most people are not used to snow or ice.

In 1963 New Orleans LA received 5 inches of snow and Bay St. Louis MS received 11 inches of snow. So yeah, this is a VERY rare event and one that if comes to fruition, something we may never see again in our lifetime.

Im in Delran NJ. About 14 miles from Philly. They say we're getting something like up to 4 inches. Thats it.
