Fun fact, ADHD is often comorbid with other mental illnesses or disabilities like autism. Also, neurodivergent people like those with ADHD or autsim tend to get drawn to each other, so it's not really a coincidence Bart and Joe are also neurodivergent. If most of your friends are ADHD or autism... there's a chance you could be as well lol.

Autism it is not a mental disability nor considered a mental disability it’s a neurological disorder those are two different things and depending on the level most fit into normal society like anyone else just more social awkwardness it’s a neurological disorder Albert Einstein ,Beethoven Kanye west, Jack black the guy who invented Pokémon etc they are brilliant there IQ is insane than the average person so nothing R about at all.
@Vincisomething
@Vincisomething Жыл бұрын
@@melolabean7656 I wrote it weirdly, but I meant "disability" as an all-encompassing thing meaning someone who can't function normally in society without aid, not strictly mental disabilities. It is still a a developmental disability. Disorders can result in being disabled in some way, especially since we live in world that isn't neurodivergent friendly.
@Vincisomething
@Vincisomething Жыл бұрын
@@melolabean7656 Also, mental disability doesn't mean low IQ. Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by an extra pair of chromosome 21, not a mental disability in it's true definition. Mental disabilities can include schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, eating disorders, and addiction disorders to name a few. "A mental disability is a cognitive or psychological condition that limits a major life activity in some way or requires special services. Mental disabilities can be caused by biological factors, environmental factors, substance abuse or brain trauma."
@Vincisomething
@Vincisomething Жыл бұрын
@@melolabean7656 If you have a disorder, especially living in this country, you're probably considered having a disability. Not all disabilities are people in wheelchairs who need a care-taker 24/7, it's anything where due to your condition, things are harder and may require aid. It could be the student with ADHD who needs extra time on tests or people with PTSD who can't go out alone, people with depression who need therapy and meds to function. Not all disabilities are visible. I say this as someone who is AuDHD and diagnosed with depression and anxiety lol.
@Vincisomething
@Vincisomething Жыл бұрын
@@melolabean7656 Also, fun fact- people with autism were most likely the ones who led humans through the Ice Age and helped us survive. Scientists believe without autistic people, we wouldn't have made it through the Ice Age. Which shows that it's not our "faulty" brains that can't do things, but we unfortunately live in a society that isn't really meant for people like us. And it totally debunks people that claim "everyone now is ADHD and autistic all of a sudden." No, we just know more about it. It's like people that say people are all gay now like gay people were invented in 2003.

I just learned I’m neurodivergent too. I thought I was just a weirdo 😂. I’ve been listening to Unlock It (Zephyr remix) by Charli XCX on repeat for the past year. I’ll listen to other songs too, but when I love a song, I’m obsessed. It brings me immense pleasure to hear the melodic riffs, drops, pulsating syncopated beats, harmonies. I also have sensory processing disorder which many autistic people have too

Also, I'm a half Korean (half black) who's thrown and broken things out of anger 😅. The energy of just being mad and wanting to punish or scare the other person is very different.
