Hid battle cries were “Technoblade Never Dies!” and “Blood For The Blood God!” This was chanted by his live stream chat whenever he played in the Dream SMP. They chanted this because they loved the violence and because he was a great PvPer and EvPer (player vs player and entity vs player). His battles are legendary and will forever be in the video game history books.

So, in case you weren't aware David, Technoblade was a Minecraft player for the Dream SMP, and this song was basically a ballad for his exploits in the series. Admittedly, I haven't seen the SMP so I can't give you a good rundown of his actions there, but Technoblade was always a fan of battle and violence, a self-proclaimed agent of chaos and living up to the title. He had a deep love for Greek mythology and that's where the "die like a hero" line came from. it's firmly said among many that Technoblade never dies, because he's always two steps ahead, with a backup of a backup and a plan always in motion Sadly, Technoblade passed not too long ago, beaten by one of the only enemies you can't really plan against: cancer. I may not have been a massive fan of him, but I know plenty of people who were, and their enthusiasm made me love him too. This song is among my most played now; it's such a thrilling song. As Technoblade would say: "Blood for the Blood God!"

i'd love to see it in a campaign where the "villain" isnt actually the bad guy, but that twist doesnt come until the very end of the campaign, perhaps part of the characters hail-mary after the players defeat them. Not really in a "you were really the villain the whole time" but just, the bad guy wasnt actually a bad guy, and the player's weren't the GOOD guys either. the campaigns that kinda break the heart of the players, possibly like the players killing the "villain"s underlings, trying to rescue someone who the "villain" was trying to help, perhaps rescue from a terrible situation them self. more power behind the words "if you THINK you're a hero" in that kind of scenario. something that gives the players a little whiplash

what I love about this song is how many references there are to both the lore and just technoblade himself. like how the line about raising up his hoe is in reference to the great potato war! But it follows his character's story really well and represents his thoughts well. Its powerful and angry, but its also sad, and i dunno, its touching

As someone who's just getting into the fandom, the Dream SMP fandom is just the most hilarious thing to me, conceptually. You look and things like Derivakat's music or SAD-ist's animations and you might think that this is some historical fantasy show almost on the level of Game of Thrones. But no. It's just some KZbinrs playing on a Minecraft roleplay server. The tonal whiplash is just really funny to me.

So i havent seen this posted but I'll put it out for others who dont know. 'This guy is into bloodlust' is accurate to a degree. His character of technoblade was very violent when forced into battle, but it was never his first option. As for the player behind the character he was an exceptionally skilled combatants in Minecraft. He set himself a challenge to win 1000 battles in a row of a multiperson battle game on the server he frequented most often. He succeeded in reaching that benchmark while faced against people teaming up to outnumber him, and even won against people Hacking the game to get an advantage. If the imagery is already powerful, imagine what it’s like as a DSMP fan XD. The writer used specific places, events, and people that all exist within the DSMP. I could see the majority of the song. Also- you should try Home by Kroh! It’s an awesome song that’s also about a few of the characters of the DSMP but can easily be taken out of that context and applied to the lives of real people.

Every single time I hear this song, I have to stop what I'm doing and fully appreciate how I can literally see the events playing out, him joining Wilbur, being betrayed, leaving to the snowy hills, being hunted down, all of it. The line "But then came a message from my only friend, 'Oh Warrior, hide or this is the end. They've bound up my wings and they hunt for your head.'" Gave me literal chills. The Phil reference showing how canonically he has wings, it was so surreal hearing it the first time and the effect never wears off.

So, I learned of the Blade from this song, Cami-cat is truly amazing and her version of the Blood Gods tale was so captivating. After his passing due to cancer, I did a deep dive into his legacy and it is mindblowing how much he did with his short time on Earth. He raised over half a million dollars for the Sarcoma foundation amongst his other accolades he held together and kept his humor even to the end making death merch to help fund the battle against cancer even postmortem. If you don't want a huge run-through of all his stories but a summed up cliffnotes version check out another youtuber named EvanMCGaming. Technoblade was an amazing person and creator and I am proud to say a huge inspiration to many folk.

And people are still raising money for the Sarcoma foundation in his memory, hell, Mr. Beast posted a video that was filmed in May or June (With Techno's family's permission) and decided that all of the revenue from that video would go to the Sarcoma Foundation. Even after the grave, Techno is still helping so many people, not just by the content he made and the days he brightened, but also by influencing raising so much money for future Cancer patients, and probably saving millions of lives through his work.

I don't know if you've listened to it, but the original song is by the shiny snivvy, which was acapella and used harmonies! There is also a fully acapella rendition by mizz fish that uses so many harmonies with extra lyrics (if im not mistaken the last bit took 34 seperate tracks singing at once) and it's wonderful! The original lyrics and tune however belong to the shiny snivvy! This rendition took those, added a backing track and it's great too! Please check out the mizz fish version some time, it's the same song but the vibes are completely different! This feels like a ballad, mizz fish's feels like a folk song people passed down of a tale of a warrior!

I personlly never watched his stuff while he was with us but here is a short list of just how next level he came across to me. 1)MC Ultimate hunger games season 2: he led his team of 3 to not only win the event but personally demolished the previous kill record by over 4 times. His team had a combined number of 116 kills in this 250+ youtuber event, and by the end of it the remaining teams all teamed up (21 KZbinrs) and were slaughtered by this three man team. 2)Beat Minecraft on hardcore mode using a steering wheel. 3)Got #1 in potatoes on Hypixel with tactics straight out of a Ocean's or Bond movie. I think this took better part of a year. So in short he is like the elves, he was patient, he was kind, but while he may not have been the quickest to act in Dream SMP, but when he did it reveled meticulous planning, insane skill, and the patience to pull it off. And when he plans came to light there was always a path of destruction behind him, he was a force of nature. And as I said before from what I could gleen he was kind, even in his anger he would show the person who wronged him the kindest of normally a swift in game end.

I recently got into the DreamSMP lore (and fan music) and found another Technoblade song that picks up later in the story, after what is covered by this ballad. "This Tragedy of Mine" by Knight of Endale - it has some references to their other DSMP songs as well, particularly "Prometheus" (another Techno song) and "Haunted" (Ranboo song, which itself references Prometheus and a song called "Beloved" - a Tubbo song) The callbacks between these four songs in progression are really cool, especially once you know the lore they reference as well. As some have mentioned, this is a song about Technoblade's exploits on the Dream SMP server. The first arc of the song is about him being recruited to help take down the corrupt (yet legitimate) government of a country by its then-exiled founders. After basically single-handedly equipping the resistance and aiding them in destroying the government they immediately set up a new government right in front of him. Being an avid anarchist, he took offense to this and promptly waged a one-man war on the rest of the resistance before running off. The next part is about him living in self-imposed exile, having sworn off violence. Several members of the country banded together into what they called the "butcher army" to hunt him down and execute him. To do this they first imprisoned his one remaining friend on the server, which allowed them to get a compass which would lead them straight to Technoblade's house. His friend was able to send Techno a warning but he was unable to hide before they got to him. Funny thing is, despite it being a 4 on 1 fight the battle was going very badly for them before they took his horse hostage. They then subjected him to a public execution, which failed because he secretly had a totem of undying. He then escaped with his horse after killing the leader of the butcher army with a pickax ("I have a pickax and I'll put it through your teeth!"). The final arc is about him re-embracing violence and plotting to destroy the country once and for all. Right after returning from the failed execution he ran into a guy that had been exiled from the country and they joined forces to do some "light terrorism". However the guy eventually stabbed him in the back and ran back to the country. In response Techno gathered his friend, Philza, and Dream (who hated the country) and the three sacked the country quite handily. Techno ran in with an army of dogs while Philza summoned wither bosses throughout the town and Dream dropped TNT from the sky. The result was the country was reduced to quite literally just a crater. Technoblade actually survived the war and went on to form a group called "The Syndicate", which monitored for any more governments that dared form on the server. The only notable things he did after that, though, was breaking Dream out of a prison and joining up with his nemesis temporarily to take on the "Eggpire". Sadly he passed away from cancer before any more storylines could be brought to fruition. Technoblade would often say he'd hear "voices" that urged him to do violence. This was actually his stream's chat, which would often chant "Blood for the Blood God" (a Warhammer 40k reference).

Listening to this song tie in all of his tales makes me so happy... You may not read this, but I wanted to give a bit of backstory for the actually tales that are sung about.... The hoe was from the potato wars when he spent 9 months farming potatoes to get the highest rank on Hypixel... He also farmed potatoes for the revolution (stayed up for 14 hours "Revolution waits for no man"), and he retired from being "The Blade" to farm potatoes in peace after the revolution so that he would not have to deal with betrayal anymore. When Techno first joined the server, he joined to help Tommy and Wilbur in their revolution against Manberg (formally L'Manberg). He did not know that after Manberg was defeated, that they would reinstate L'Manberg, and made a huge speach about how they are only repeating history.... And when he ended it, he ended it by saying: "If you want to be a hero Tommy... THEN DIE LIKE ONE!" The stallion's name is Carl. He has been with Technoblade since his first day joining the server... Carl was the single most important animal to Techno, and everyone knew this. That's why when the butcher army showed up to bring Techno in for his execution, Quackity took the horse and threatened to murder him. That's why Techno agreed to follow quietly. After he survived his execution, he ran after Dream (who was bringing Carl to a secret tunnel) and ended up fighting Quackity in the tunnel. All he had was a pickaxe and some iron armor against a fully geared Quackity... But he still killed Quackity and took his first canon life. "You really think you can defeat me, Quackity? You really think, even with iron armor and no weapons, that you stand a chance against me?" "I HAVE A PICKAXE, AND I'M GOING TO PUT IT THROUGH YOUR TEETH!" The part where he tried to help Tommy after Tommy got exiled and found his way to the hidden base... How he took Tommy in, let him hide from Dream... And Tommy betrayed him, went back to the person, Tubbo, who exiled him in the first place.... It hit Techno hard. He lost his friend. Techno went to war the next day. He brought an army of over 100 wolves and let loose around 8 withers (maybe more) to start destroying L'Manberg... Until the TNT started to rain down from the sky and L'Manberg was reduced to bedrock.... Also, Technoblade never dies. He had a one life policy for himself because "where I come from, Tubbo... We don't have multiple lives..." So the entire time he was on the server, he never died in a battle. Even while destroying L'Manberg TWICE he never died....

Sorry for the delay but Technoblade's blade is filled with strife and bloodshed. His character is known to hear voices who demand blood, and so he has the line "Blood for the Blood God", we the chat are his voices. Originally he had been brought in to fight against a dictator, who actually won an election, but Wilbur disagreed and wanted L'manberg back, so he brought Technoblade. Techno was made to go spy and had to shoot one of their friends or blow his cover, as Wilbur prevented himself and Tommy from stepping in to help, which put a strain on things. Techno got so many provisions, and they got into a fight when the time came, only for Schlatt, the man who won, to die of a heart attack, though he was making life hell for everyone. When he died, Wilbur immediately got to setting up a new government, which he gave to Tommy, who gave it back to Wilbur who gave it to Tubbo, the man Techno had to shoot. Unfortunately, Technoblade realized that he was used to stage a coup, when he was believing that he was giving the power to the people, having said to not form a new government. Wilbur went off somewhere and ended up setting off a bunch of TNT under the country, while Technoblade was arguing with people and made withers. Wilbur died to Philza's hand, Wilbur's father and best friend of Techno, while Techno went off into the Arctic, ad L'manberg got a new government. Philza stayed to help rebuild, but Tubbo, the new president had a group of people with him of Quackity (the butcher mentioned in the song), Fundy (Wilbur's son), and Ranboo (a newcomer). They put Phil under house arrest and stole the only way to get to Techno's house, but Philza warned him. They took Techno in, only preventing him from winning by threatening his horse Carl, despite Techno trying to tell them to go, that he wanted peace and not to fight, but they didn't listen, so he was put on "trial" but it was an execution. They tried to kill him with an anvil, but it didn't work and he got out, and Quackity went after him, getting into a fight with Techno, but Techno beat him by putting a pickaxe through his teeth. Techno escaped and ended up freeing Phil, and upon returning home found Tommy, stealing and living in under his basement. Tommy escaped exile, which was he was put in by Tubbo, who was forced to do it by Dream in order to save L'manberg. Techno took care of him and Tommy helped him get his weapons back, and Techno protected Tommy from Dream, who was abusing Tommy. Unfortunately Tommy was blamed for blowing up a community center, which he didn't do, and got into an argument with Tubbo, surrounded by people, having Techno come to his aid, but Tommy and Tubbo talked and worked things out, which meant he left Technoblade's side, which didn't sit well. He and Phil ended up teaming up with Dream, and they wrought the flames of hell upon L'manberg, Techno brought so man dogs and used potions to make them harder to hit, Phil spawned withers, and Dream dropped TNT from the sky, and they crushed L'manberg, though none of them lost their lives. At least these are the events in the song. Unfortunately, Technoblade, the real one and not his character, passed to cancer at only 23. It's been really hard, but it means so much to see you reacting to these videos and enjoying them. You would love his content, if you ever want to react to him, he's incredibly funny and kind, even if some of his jokes are dark. He will always love on in our hearts, after all Technoblade Never Dies. Our Blood God is still a shining light, we love him, we miss him. Thank you. Despite this I will still make my request for you to check out some of the Final Fantasy XIV music cause that game knocks it out of the park with the music, the best ones I think are Close In The Distance, Civilization, Tomorrow and Tomorrow, and Dragonsong at least for the ones to start with! You can take your pick of which one first. In truth, Close In The Distance makes me think of Technoblade, and his friends Philza, WilburSoot, and TommyInnit, but also his chat. It also reminds me of my own friend that I lost. So if you listen to that one, I hope it reminds you of someone you love and lost, but to remember the good times, and that it's ok to hurt, but just to keep looking forward.

While I do really enjoy this song from Cami, I don't think it is her best. You should most definitely react to (or at the least listen to) Maw of the King, Fire Cracker, and Daybreak (Especially this one. She and Caleb Hyles both did vocals for it! It also just happens to live rent free in my head).
