@@DavidTipton101 I think you had to sing for your supper. Funny init , the Japanese spend all their time making the old electronic components smaller , then you need another big box , wires, ( a wireless one nice??) screen to see them and the mounting boards to check for breaks, its a bit like the paperless office. Of course when the scope breaks you have to buy another one to find what component has gone faulty

When I was shopping for one of these, I decided I didn't want the screen integrated into the thing because it would bounce around too much. I ended up getting a Raspberry Pi and one of their fantastic Global Shutter cameras and then pairing that with a microscope stand I bought on Amazon and a C mount macro zoom lens I bought on eBay. It's great and it allows me to swap lenses easily.

Thanks for the good review. I want to ask about the screen resolution. Is it enough? Because there is a choice of two screen sizes, 8 inches and 10.1 inches. Both are the same resolution. I can't decide which one to buy. A smaller one should have a sharper image. Thank you in advance.

Hello MrTrafas. I haven't seen the 8 inch model so I can't say if there is a marked difference. I agree the smaller screen would be sharper but the 10" screen is very good and seems well suited. Keep in mind, I only did a small amount of experimenting. Make sure the unit you buy has autofocus if you want it 👍🙂

Like everything you do my friend, this is an excellent review, i'm impressed. From what i can see the image quality is better compared to other albeit less expensive models i've seen. Not that i could justify the expense right now, but I checked on the Canadian Amazon site and it doesn't seem to be available just yet. I could still get it but from the American site so it comes out to a lot more expensive. Thanks for sharing this, be well, God bless.

Hello Raymond, thanks. It is available elsewhere besides Amazon. The discount only applies to the US Amazon hence the link. The image on the screen was very good, with a 4K monitor attached it would be even better. They are an expensive item for the shop but if you are doing that kind of work this one seems to be pretty good. Cheers!

@@DavidTipton101 i’ve read several of the negative comments suggesting that you’re selling out to the “the man“ for commercial purposes. The thing I find that I appreciate in this is that you’re not passing off some random product unrelated to what you are doing or trying to accomplish. So if it’s a tool that’s directly related to your work. I am all for it. Question, have you ever considered “LASIK” eye surgery. You know the one where they zap you with a laser and correct the lens of your eyes. I had near perfect vision until 44 and I hate these damn glasses. I have considered it and I’m still exploring the idea and it have spoken to other people who have done and they are fully supportive of it.

A lot of popular radio restorers review products from time to time, I don't know why anyone would be worried about me doing it. I almost always check for review videos before buying a product to see if it will do what I want. This will be handy for me in my workshop. I inquired about LASIK years ago but I was an unsuitable candidate at the time. I will need cataract surgery in the next few years so that may result in not needing glasses. Thanks Neil.
