I love this video. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. I want to scream at my computer screen and tell them not to go to Dallas. No matter what anybody what anybody says, the man was a great politician and leader. The way he got the country so excited about being American and what a difference each citizen could make by contributing something back to their country. It was such a positive outlook that he spread around the nation and his communication skills were impeccable. The two of them seemed to electrify the nation! I have been away for a while and this is my first real chance to get caught up here. Thank you for another great video!

Great leader? He was in the White House for far too short a time to assess him as a great leader. He won the presidency by the smallest margin ever, and his election was rigged by his father's deal with the mob. He was a great speaker, with great aspirations for America. By the grace of Jackie Kennedy, her fashions and refinement, the nation and world was drawn to them. He treated her abominably. He was a serial philanderer. They were on the precipice of a divorce, when he persuaded her to go to Dallas with him. Before that fateful trip, she was hardly ever in the White House, preferring to be in her country home in Virginia. The world braced for nuclear war, when he challenged the USSR's missile site in Cuba. Now, under Biden, the US ignores the US intolerance for any offensive foreign military base close to its borders, while digging in with an offensive US military base right on Russia's border, actually initiating war, hoping the dangerous hypocrisy will escape the masses. He could be considered the last classical liberal president. The Democrat Party, slid into more and more destructive socialism after his death, to its outright totalitarian fascism today. He was as leary about the CIA as Trump is -- more vocal about it than Trump. It cost him his life.

@@normamimosa5991actually jack and Jackie were CLOSER than they had been after they lost Patrick in August. She WANTED to go to Dallas with him. Yes he had affairs sadly. ALOT of men did .. the wives just looked the others.way. it doesn't justify it at all but sign of tines. For the 1,000 days they were in the white house. He made a huge impact. Had he not been killed I think he would've won re-election and would've done even more great work. It was a huge loss for all of us. When he was assassinated.

@DeborahLuptak6 жыл бұрын
Niko here - That is an interesting thought. I once saw an interview with Jay Schadler of ABC interviewing JFK Jr. Schadler, of course, asked Jr if he had any presidential ambitions which Jr. side-stepped beautifully. Then Schadler asked him what he thought his Dad would have thought about his own future now. JFK Jr said that in "today's" climate (which was the year 1989) he was not at all sure whether his father would have chosen to run. I was surprised at first but after thinking about it I thought it was an incredibly insightful answer. He was obviously educated about the life and times of his father and knew when his Dad was President, questions weren't asked about personal lives. The press has info on JFK, JFK had info on the major members of the press so everybody kept quiet. That wouldn't have been the case in 1989. I have seen so many comments from Kennedy haters on these sites. Their go-to lines to attempt to tarnish JFK as a President is to remind us of his reputation with the women. Lol, that is so rich considering that today there is somebody in office who has tried everything twice and magically it doesn't seem to matter to them. Wherever shall they turn from now on to be so harshly critical of JFK, when they are supporting blindly, somebody with no moral code in almost every category. Lol, I love it because they have all played their hand now. Did anybody ever hear JFK talking in the vile manner the present person in office has done? I don't think so! Just some thoughts I wanted to share after reading your post.

@DeborahLuptak6 жыл бұрын
@@pookiebear364 You are correct. I remember a brief interview in which JFK was stopped for a few minutes to answer a few questions. It seems to me that whoever was asking the questions inquired about what JFK wanted for his son. He replied with one word which was "happy". He didn't have a preconceived notion of what he wanted for either of his children. I can only imagine that it may have had something to do with the fact that Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. was fairly bent on first Joe Jr. to be President and then JFK, who wondered how he was going to fill the shoes of his older brother.
