You are my hero, Davie! Really relatable journey (except for the $100M/year LOL!). Starting with random businesses, acquiring skills, failing and failing, then finally hitting success, like your Instagram page. Mine was, and still is, a B2B lead gen agency. At its peak, it was $22k/month. Now, I've focused so much on ecom because getting bored, but mainly because of it's big scale aspect, and ended up with nearly €0 bank account for the first time in 2 years after spending all my savings on testing products and acquiring knowledge haha! But I KNOW something BIG is right around the corner. I can feel it. Thanks for the video man!

@@DavieFogarty Will check it out! I saw your interview inside SWE and have been using Trend Rocket for ideation. It's a great tool! 🙏 Hmm, a video comparing different strategies and how to choose the right one would be super valuable. Like TikTok vs Meta, what product criteria are best for each platform, etc. Also, how to choose the right campaign structure (ABO, CBO, Advantage+, SPC in TikTok. What's an ideal number of ads per campaign to have enough variety but not confuse the algorithm, etc. A video like that, perhaps. 👀

Like I said, mine was 8 failed businesses (4 of which were in the F&B business). I completely agree with Davie, F&B business is brutal for someone without a decent experience in the fast moving goods industry. Right now though, I feel like I'm lost like never before. I just failed my last business 6 months ago. And has never been doing anything but keep searching for inspiration (I know that's not how it works). I guess I'm deeply traumatic in starting another. I guess I'm fed up with losing so much and lost all my blood sweat and tears for naught.

Thank you for sharing your story. I totally understand where you’re coming from. When I had to give up my Vietnamese bread roll shop, I felt extremely lost for ages. The F&B industry can be incredibly tough, and it’s easy to feel like you’re hitting a wall. The struggle is real, and it can be deeply disheartening when things don’t go as planned. Right now, feeling lost and disheartened is a natural response. It’s important to give yourself time to process and reflect. Success often comes after a series of setbacks, and every experience, even the tough ones, builds resilience and insight. Try to focus on the lessons you’ve learned from each experience-they’re valuable, even if they don’t seem like it right now. Recharging, finding new inspiration, and building on your past learnings can pave the way for future success. Many people would have given up after the first failure, and even more don’t start at all. Hang in there, and remember that many successful people have faced similar struggles. Keep moving forward, even if it’s just a small step at a time. You’ve got this!

I am deciding on my sale price and though my product is not luxury its a home decor item, I don’t want it to be considered a cheap product. I understand how you feel, but remember, it’s never too late to start something new. Many successful entrepreneurs began their journeys later in life-like Vera Wang, who started her fashion career at 40, or Sam Walton, who founded Walmart in his 40s. It’s normal to feel like you’re falling behind, but the key is to keep exploring and experimenting. Don’t be discouraged if it seems like everything is taken; sometimes the best opportunities come from a fresh perspective or a unique twist on existing concepts.
