Hello, Davie. I just wanted to say "thank you" for sharing your wonderful techniques with the rest of us. Greetings from Seoul, Korea.

Hello Davie. Thank you for your many excellent videos. My health does not allow me to get out much any more but I want you to know how much I appreciate your excellent and educational videos. I am still able to tie a few flies but vision is not what it used to be. Thank you so much for your KZbin videos. I would like to find a fly tying club in my area. Joe, Jackson,Michigan USA

This is one of the prettyest and lifelike flies Ive ever seen. But then again... its tied by Davie.

Davie it's always a pleasure watching your videos. But who really want to fish with your flies? I would hesitate to put it at the end of my line for fear I might lose it.

Lovely fly and great way to apply the legs. Very time consuming to tie though at 15 minutes each. Even if you were not doing the video I bet they take at least 7-8 minutes to tie. Thanks for sharing.

Another beautiful fly. I finally have enough materials to tie a fly without having to buy anything. I must be amassing some goods when this starts to happen. I hope you have a Wonderful New Year, All the best to you and yours. God bless. Sean

What would you say ? Caddis imitation? Stonefly or a shrimp scud ?
@lastcoyote23553 жыл бұрын
The more I look at this fly , I’m leaning at calling it a scud variation. Unfortunately all the good rivers that I fish are low and no fishing or recreation allowed.😟😟😔😕

Hi Davie😀 have you changed your vise? It looks like you are using a regal? Ps.. I love My Law
@DavieMcPhail9 жыл бұрын
Hiufuk yucel, I still have the Law which sits on my shelf as I prefer to use a vise that you can buy than one that you can't, as many ask me what vise do I use and when I say that it was no longer being made I felt I was letting them down by not using one on the market... All the very best Davie

This is really cool, the body looks very realistic :) what kind of a superglue do you use? I have notice that the one I have looses the shine after you use a hair dryer or blow the air on it, must be the quality issue because after you have done it with yours, the head stayed shiny. Cheers and Happy New Year- Pete
@DavieMcPhail9 жыл бұрын
Hi Pete, It's a really nice fly to tye and as you said it looks very realistic...I use Loctite Easy Brush Superglue which I've always found to be excellent but like any superglue it does have a shelf life so when you see it getting a little heavy then it's time to buy another bottle and you'll never have any problems... Happy New Year to you as well and all the very best for 2015... Davie...

Hi Davie. I looked at this video a couple of times already before I tied this nymph. Knowing this is a 7 years old video, what I'm interested in is, if you would have to tie this nymph now, what would you change? I ask because now there are so many many new materials available. Tight lines, Robbie "RobinRed"🇨🇿.
