I am so tempted by this. Can see how it would sky rocket my productivity and love the tactile feel of using these kind of interfaces when editing and grading! Thanks for this.

The best review I have seen on the keyboard, you are obviously a professional, and the review echos that. Thank you.

Really appreciate the time and effort you put in to this review. It is the final premise on which I am deciding to move to Resolve. Thank you so much, our patients will benefit indirectly from your work. All the best, Russ

you need to make an updated video for this keyboard, if you're still using it. Thanks. Im planning to give mine away because its not backlit, cant see the keys in a dark environment.

I saw that there is a Slip/Slide toggle key on the keyboard (S). Does this affect the Slip Source (or Slip Destination) fonction that is on the left of the keyboard ?

Great review ! However, I have a problem. When I exit the shuttle mode and enter in jog or scroll mode, the wheel sometimes makes a creacking sound when I rotate it. Does yours do that too ?

We have two of these and haven’t noticed on either. Maybe checking on the BM forum 🤞

Hi Still Moving, super review! Question, I own one, but one thing bugs me, I can't make a roll edit with the jog wheel for just audio or video only. At least not without using the mouse to hold/unable video or audio tracks. Is there a way to do this with just the keyboard? I've checked the 'video only' and 'audio only' button but that only works for importing source material to the timeline. Not for fixing video or audio-layers in the timeline itself. Hope you can help me out! Cheers!

Following...I want to know this also. It would be kinda stupid for BMD to not implement this fonction. I do this type of edits all the time.

Will it work the same way (trim in , trim out) with multiple layers on the timeline?
@StillMovingMedia3 жыл бұрын
Yes but you do need to be aware of how the clips are stacked and any locked layers etc

Does the functionality work in premiere pro? Looking to expand my workflow with Resolve but I have clients who work in Premiere

I've been trying to accomplish this with a regular keyboard and a contour shuttle. And suggestions?
@StillMovingMedia4 жыл бұрын
Darlington Jones Imagery hmmm I’m not sure, you may be able to map the keystrokes but I don’t know if you could map out the function of the scroll wheel to be able to control things in the same way.

@@StillMovingMedia okay! And how much are you still using the mouse with this Davinci keyboard? What are you using the mouse for?

can some one tell me, can i use davinci keyboard for fcpx?? is there is any alternative control keyboard usable for both resolve and fcpx?

Think all the features won’t work the same as it is really focused on Davinci.

Clicking on the jog wheel ? Pretty sure you can't.
@NoorKarzon3 жыл бұрын
@@doug_EX I just bought recently the speed editor keyboard, and it's considered a mini version of this keyboard "I guess?". I'm not sure but the jog wheel is actually clickable. Not sure what it does on Davinci Resolve. Unless it's a defective product? The reason I'm asking here because there is NO Manual so far on their website. And the box came with nothing either!!

This keyboard is nice, but keep in mind that you’ll sacrifice basic keyboard functions like print Screen, entering BIOS etc. It’s an inconvenience having 2 keyboards to fully access your PC’s keyboard options. I defiantly don’t recommend it for home or everyday use. You’re better off with the speed editor!

"premium feel, matt look " this is just bullshit saletalk !
@StillMovingMedia4 жыл бұрын
Maybe but describing a product always runs the risk of going into the whole describing a wine territory... notes of chocolate and smooth metal ;) But when you use a cheap keyboard with poor quality materials and action then you use this then it does feel premium and the wrist rest is matt :o

comparing the cut page to fcpx indicates you never cut on fcpx
@StillMovingMedia4 жыл бұрын
lazar razal moved from final cut 7 to fcpx, didn’t get on with it at the time (this was on release). Then moved over to premiere, variously dipped into fcpx on certain projects over the years. The vibe of the cut page feels more fcpx then it does premiere to me. In any event it’s great to have Blackmagic pushing to make Davinci a more versatile editing option.
