Thank you very much for this tutorial. Very helpful. I have a question and hope that my message will find you 🙂. How would you offset the center position (x or y)?, I tried to find it out and modify your expression but couldn't figure it out....

Gracias Cesar! Do you know how to keep an out animation when we shorten the fusion composition at the edit page?
@cezarfarias2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, you can use the modifier Anim Curves to create a responsive animation or you can use the node Keyframe Stretcher kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZ_XaZ-ghaZ2l9U

Hey! This is such an awesome tutorial. I think this is the only video that properly covers time offset on KZbin. I have a follow-up question: is it possible for me to create a slider that affects the time offset like a curve (instead of a static number)? For example, I want the time offset to be larger for the first elements, and shorter for the last elements

Awesome video. Love all the help you provide with animation. I am struggling with connecting Character based SVG files to keep everything in place when I try to move items like an arm and have the elbow or the wrist follow or stay connected at a pivot point. Any suggestions. Thanks for the Videos

Thanks. So for this animation, I suggest using PSD to get a very clean node setup. This is the same approach used in other animation software like Moho. One of the more important steps is to prepare your file, so make sure all layers have a name, don't use groups, and keep simple. On Fusion, you will need some expressions to be more efficient and use the invert transform option to explore kinematics. Here is an example for a face rig, but you can get the idea. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWnUm31pgt2aZpY

Very nice tutorial. Well structured, easy to understand and a very valuable simple trick with the expression. I'm going to make a macro about this. Easy if the formula is planted in modifiers which are driving slider controls. In this case you can link it via expression and connect-to method.

@@tidatida4145 you are the best!!! Thank you so much! Wow, looks like we are on the same page :) I just finished yesterday my first macro. A lot of room for improvement, but I'm very happy. I would love to hear your feedback, I have shared the macro on the Discord Channel Pirates Of ConFusion. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqDElHprndJsgpY

Wow 🤩 thanks 🙏🏽 for this tutorial! Btw on the latest Davinci Resolve update I saw something about “Support for copy settings to work on fusion modifiers” have you checked that yet? I honestly haven’t checked it yet…

Hey buddy, thanks! So, no I don't have checked yet, but this can be something really nice if works as we expect 😀.

Hi. I have a question about PSD file. If we want to create a template (drfx) , is the PSD already embedded in the .setting file (like imported SVG file), or is it linked, so we need to include the PSD inside the zipped (drfx) file?
@cezarfarias2 жыл бұрын
Hi, you should include the PSD, because when you import a PSD in fusion all layers/nodes works as Media In. If you not include other user will not be able to read the information. SVG is fine because they import all curves as a polygon node.

Thank you Cezar!🙏 Very interesting / useful / helpful lesson🔥 Just a few questions: Have you ever tried to import (and work with) SVG files in Davinci Resolve instead of PSD? I've tried it (SVG from Inkscape) but it's a real mess because DR generates lots of "background nodes + merge nodes" and (sometimes) some properties are lost such as "the color of the imported elements". In short, it is a real shame because the vector files offer a lossless quality when for example, despite having created a very small subject, you decide to dramatically increase the size according to your needs. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the "s-Shapes" in DR are "native SVGs" so I don't understand if it's my problem in the "export phase" (maybe some advanced setting / value / parameter in SVG-saving properties)... ...do you have any suggestions? (assuming you've ever tried and it went well) So I wanted to know your thoughts on SVG .... better or worse than PSD? Is it useless or would it be useful to be able to work a motion graphics project with "lossless quality" (SVG) files? Have a nice day! ✌
@cezarfarias2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your support! So yes let's talk about SVG, I have the same issue as you, a lot of nodes, sometimes the same object are "broken" in 2 or 3 nodes...I just use SVG if I really need to animate the shape or chance colours or something like that. In terms of preparing the file, I try to keep as simple as I can, so in this sense I avoid groups, instead, I join the vectors when possible. If I will animate a logo I will import an SVG, but for elements like the video I preferer PSD, the result is much better, a simple trick is just export your PSD bigger than your scene. Yes not the perfect solution, but works very well. I hope that BMD can make some improvements to SVG importing function. If you can keep your nodes organized SVG is great, but again depending on your project's needs, you will get the same result with PSD without pain. Enjoy your weekend! best.

@@cezarfarias Thank you for your answer! I really appreciated the suggestion on: _"Create a higher resolution file than the project in DVR to have a better headroom on resizing / scaling without losing too much quality and having that annoying result of jagged edges"_ This rule (for *PSD* files) I think can also be applied for *PNGs* ... so thanks again!

Awesome tutorial. Do you know how we can time delay different words within a text+ node? I want to make a Twitter post fusion composition and I want the words to animate individually with a time delay, automatically.
@casdebeer73602 жыл бұрын
Right click on the window where you put in the text and click on 'Follower'. This will give you some options to animate text with a build in delay button.
