Many thanks Simon. I love this one (Particle one was good too, this just look better, in my opinion.). ps. Nice to see you back in Fusion!

Thank you, that animation is awesome. You also make it far easier to create, than I expected it to be. Ever since I saw your preview of this, I’ve been hoping that you would show us how you did it. I really appreciate that you explain each part and setting as you build it. I learn so much more than I would if you just offered the prebuilt version.

Thank you. That's good to hear. Sometimes the "why" is as important as the "how" because if you understand the "why" hopefully you can build on it.

Wonderful thank you, but why not join the two initial vertical cylinders with a merge to the side rungs, thus creating the whole straight structure and only afterwards perform the "twist" with the bender3D? It seems to me that there would be fewer alignment problems. Thank you

No reason at all. But that would have been a lot more dull.

@@SimonUbsdell 🤣😂I believe that many times the same result can be achieved in different ways. Anyway, great tutorial, thanks !!

There is always, always, always a better way of doing something, no matter how carefully you think you've thought about it! And that's why this work is so endlessly interesting. But thanks for your kind comments.

@@SimonUbsdell I loved the technique of coloring the material to grow the DNA helix. I will definitely use it. Thanks again.

Actually I have remembered now why I did it the way I did. It’s a small thing but applying a global Bender to the entire assembly (rather than to the two parts separately) results in a twisting of the crossbars that I remember not liking. (You can see it if you bypass the two Tapers that I applied.) But it’s only a very small difference and looking at it now it wouldn’t worry me. But sometimes we get obsessed about the wrong details!
