I heard this song at the end of The Chi last season. I looked for it then but it wasn’t available. I’m so glad I finally heard the the whole song. Being strong takes a toll on a person. I know it does with me. I was shot in my back right shoulder. The bullet traveled through my spinal cord and collapsing my left lung upon its exit. So, for the past almost 27 years on February 18th, I’ve been paralyzed and wheelchair bound. Being 17 years old and not even having to experience the world as a teen or man on my feet has been really tough. I was 1 out of 6 people shot that same night. But I’m the one left with the everyday reminder when I wake up every morning and can’t put my feet in the ground and walk instead have to get in a wheelchair. I’m blessed to still be alive but trust me it’s freaking hard to do this when at times I just want to give up. I’ve thought plenty of times of committing suicide but I’m too weak to do that. I have too many people that love me. Even if it just 1 person. That’ll be 1 person that I let down. I smile daily even when I’m in pain because I don’t want others to know my pain. I’ve been looking for a good beautiful woman to be by my side and when I think I’ve found the one. She ends up doing the exact plus worse than the last female I told her that hurt me. For instance, being punched in the face because I told her that I didn’t want her hanging at another man’s house while she’s engaged to me. Being put in $5k worth of debt, and cheated in with her so called male best friend. The same guy she wanted to hangout with at his house. Later after I broke it off she actually married the guy. I took care of her and her children when we were together on a fixed income. Sometimes I feel people don’t understand me when I get to a weak moment and just need someone to talk and cry with. Sometimes, I feel there’s no one out here that would love me unconditionally. Sometimes, I just want to wake up and put my feet on a cold floor. Sometimes, I want to have enough income to live comfortably on. Sometimes, I don’t want to feel like the black sheep in the family. Sometimes, I just want to finally have the woman in my life to give me my first child, Sometimes, I want to feel whole again and looked at as the man I am. Sometimes, I think it’s me against the world, Sometimes, I wish this PTSD and depression would leave my life. But, Sometimes is not enough for me. I have to be strong all the time. I have to believe that God will take away all the negative images from my mind. God will restore all the things I said sometimes too. I pray for all of you that listened to this song and left a comment about your experiences. I love all of you. Thank you for reading this to the very end.

I just LOVE this song! I am 55yrs old & I have overcome so much in my lifetime, 14yrs of molestation as a child, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, bipolar disorder, and clinical depression. I’ve struggled with chronic illnesses for the past 30 years & am now disabled. I try to be strong & push through everyday because I don’t want to burden my family with having to do things for me but I am just so tired of having to “push through and overcome things.” This song reminds me that it’s OKAY for me not to be strong “Sometimes.” Thank you for making this song, Davion ❤️

I recently purchased this song "Sometimes" by Davion Farris. I was struggling with some mental health issues recently related to my brain cancer diagnosis. I've been fighting Glioblastoma brain cancer since 06.19.2016. I've been having difficulty with new issues as result of this cancer. Every morning before I get out of bed I play this song. It helps remind me it's okay when I don't feel strong sometimes. Great song indeed. The healing power of music always helps lifting you up and vibrate higher.

For those that’s dealing with some type of disability, mental illness, or disease, this song is for us to hear. We have to always be strong or pretend “sometimes.” But when we’re alone we let go and let out our pain. I know I do. I was shot in my back and paralyzed my senior year of high school. I was 1 of 6 people shot and 5 of us were innocent bystanders. So over the years I’ve put in a brave face when needed to show strength and no weaknesses within me. But inside I struggled with myself and thoughts. As I got older and almost 28 years later on February 18, 2023, I’ve had issues from the paralysis. Lost friends to violence, was the last person to hear my best friend before he committed suicide and other things. It’s definitely hard but God has been with me.
