He is not deadlifting that much. He was able to deadlift that much, but I bet he was also quite a bit heavier. Impressive regardless though.

I tried to that and all was going so good, until I had to do that with my other hand without my other hand cause I was grabbing the bar. That was kinda harder than lifting the weight hahaha

I heard from powerlifters to never cross the straps. I havent done it too and still manage to lift up to my new PR of 210kg.

I’m not the KZbinr but the best advice for anything in lifting is to just try things out and don’t worry about not being perfect at first or people judging you. Whether it’s foot position on squats, how to use lifting straps, or what form looks good on bench it’s all good it’s a long journey just try new things and enjoy it all the while

As a climber I like to think grip strength shows ur actual capacity to lift and hold something, I can only imagine how much you'd be able to pull if your grip improved beyond the straps... crazy lift !!!

thank you so much, you have no idea how many shorts are how tos and then they just throw them away. I have atrophy of my intrinsic hand muscles and 1 less wrist extensor due to a tumor in childhood and just cannot seem to match my leg/body strength with my poor affected hand. Hoping this will help.
