The best thing to me about the figures on that temple is that it seems to depict characters from different mythologies from around the world.

Many years ago, when I was still able to enjoy hearing my mom or dad read stories, I remember a story being read to me and my siblings. I don't actually remember the title of the story or who wrote it; but, one of the color plates showed a very larger man struggling to free himself from bindings. His looks and attire were similar to the scene that showed Batman helping to free the giant. There is also Gulliver's Travels. One of his travels took Gulliver to the island of Lilliput where the inhabitants are only 6 inches tall. Gulliver's Travels was featured in Classics Illustrated, as were many of the classics, like Robinson Crusoe, Treasure Island, etc.

Balinese Hinduism has to be the most complex, fascinating and inclusive religious idea structure & practice on the planet. I'd go just to see that temple and take all day photographing, identifying & appreciating the art. Thank you that was great.

Fyi: the person from one piece is a manga character. These places are amazing and it seems like in the us our buildings are so plain compared to others in the world. We need more places like this in the us. The detail is just insane, i could gaze at this place for hrs.

Some of those characters are Japanese. You might find characters from other countries as well. Also you do find mosaics and carvings like that in the West, even in the US. There were wooden and stone statues of Mary and the saints in my college chapel. There's a cathedral in every city with stained statues, carvings and stained glass. We had all of those same things in my parish church and several of the nearby churches. Again this in the US where church design is far more conservative than it is in Europe. Half the reason westerners stereotypically overlook eastern architecture is the sheer scale and grandeur of old western architecture.

No worries One Piece is just a pirate animated series got more episode than Pokemon (the dude you are pointing at it's where fantastic five ripped off from"he is stretchy and indestructible")😂 there is also museums and Cafe/skyscraper that is tribute to the show.. and don't even get me started with the toys that go more then most people cars😅🤦🏻
