Did they care too much, or where they selfish? Vader never had to take things as far as he did. Jones betrayed Calypso. I think they cared, and they were a touch self-centered. Their pain is real, but a lot of it was self-imposed which is why their stories are so tragic.

We call it "degré de sus-dominant" or "degré VII" with " la cadence rompue" in french (here, the @Aca version is in A minor [or Bb 415hz] and descending scale [so without # on F in A 440hz] = I-VII-VI, and not I-VII-I , like the original version, when the mélodie is : E---C' D---E' C----A. [Miiii do' reeeee mi' dooooo la'] ) that gives much of love and passion ! You can do that in all musics, that quickly offers a beautifull version ! 😌 It's the first time in my life, i meet some peoples who can hear that thing ! And have sad emotions like me when hearing it.

I've been hyperfixating on researching this song, listening to it, etc. I have listened to plenty of covers on the organ, piano, harp, guitar, etc etc. This. Thus is the best one I have heard. Smooth, loud with the emotion you feel. You can clearly hear the rage, pain, betrayal, utter despair in the tune. This was beautiful.

This ending is so emotional I wish this version was much longer. Of course, I looped it, but it doesn't feel the same. Perfect job, man, I've found no other organ cover of that theme that could capture the tone and the feeling of Davy Jones's story. I tip my hat to you.

You took a few minor creative liberties with the song in terms of there literally being a few notes changed a bit higher or lower and it makes the song soo much more dramatic. It sounds incredible. What I’d give to have heard this in person

I feel you there. I’ve only heard an organ in person once: one roughly 100 years old located in a local church. We were leaving for a trip to the Netherlands, so we got together and sang the first verse of their national anthem, taped us doing it, and sent it to the people we were visiting. Beautiful song, beautiful instrument, and I swear if I don’t get to play Robotnik’s SatAM theme on a pipe organ someday I’ll die unfulfilled.

Du bist ganz nah dran. Etwas mehr Dynamik bei der Spieluhr, schleppend, wehmütig, verletzt, ruhig aus dem Takt. Der Orgelteil passt. Wahnsinnig, rasend, aggressiv... Dieses Stück ist so wahnsinnig emotional. Nur wer selbst einmal so gefühlt hat, kann diesem Lied das nötige Leben einhauchen. Dies ist die beste Version von allen die ich bisher angeschaut habe. imagine your a light house guard sleeping and one night fog has set in the harbor and suddenly your awakened by a organ playing and you see a fleet of ghost ships come out of the fog full of undead crew from various eras of history every single man ever lost at sea come back from the dead that one night to reap judgment upon the living and suddenly the sky lights up with arrows catapults machine guns and cannons and wipes out the coastal city but the light house is left unscathed all you can do is watch and listen to the people screaming and dying as the city burns and is razed to the ground by righteous fury and judgment all while the organ plays in the background and as quickly as they came they disappeared right back into the fog and a ray of sunlight breaks thru the dark clouds till eventually it all disappears and its morning (thats the image and intense emotion this song gives me )

@@benjaminvleugels5609 thank you, I appreciate that! Well to be honest, it's not that hard. I started the piano when I was about 6 years old and the organ with 15. Almost every piece of classical, especially baroque music for organ is technically much more difficult than the davy jones theme. The "difficult task" here is more about how to play it, creating the right mood with selecting sufficient organ stops with raw reeds etc.
