It's for running multiple operating systems you can set your system to dual boot and pick which one it boots into and set custom bios profiles for both
@deepseer Жыл бұрын
Years ago when pre-installed OS was rare in China, most people would let their dealers install the OS (usually unlicenced version). The dealer would use any disk image software (mostly Ghost). If the system crashed, they would just "ghost" the system again, but all the data on partition C would be lost. Therefore, they prefer multiple partitions. It's not about dual booting: most people never uses multiple systems. And for those who knows how to do it, there will be more partitions.
@deepseer Жыл бұрын
Why this tradition persists, even when no one really uses Ghost any more and you can easily re-install OS without losing any data on partition C? 1. Windows's own security feature is useless when it meets Chinese softwares: they are so useful that you can't live without them but they keep popping up advertisements. Therefore, uses choose some Chinese security softwares, and these security software doesn't rely on Windows's built-in security feature that priorizes partition C or "Program Files" folder. 2. Some people just don't like software being installed to the default folder (usually "Program Files" but somes "User\Data"). They prefer to organize the folders themselves. 3. If you want to quickly locate a file, type "E:\XXX" is much faster than clicking through a tree of folders. 4. What if one partition is full while another is empty? Well, there are freewares that can resize partitions without losing data.

Dawid, pro tip, if your card has an 8 pin but your psu only has a 6 pin, as long as you know you'll never pull more than 75W from the 6 pin (according to pcie standards, the cables can do more) you can just stick a wire or paperclip into the two open pins to jump them together, those two are just for sensing by pulling the sense pin to ground
@vadnegru Жыл бұрын
If i remember correctly 6 pin is for 120W or 130W so it doesn't make sense they used 8 pin (rated 180W). Or they know how terrible their power supplies is, that can barely give 75w on 8 pin.
@renchesandsords Жыл бұрын
@@vadnegru 6 pin is rated for 75W according to PCIe, but the actual number of 12V connection wires is the same as an 8-pin, which is rated for 150W, but realistically, I've personally pulled close to 300W from a single 8 pin, with overlockers pulling closer to 500W, the margins on those connectors are really good

9:24 I had a friend working in one of these retail stores selling cheap PCs. When I got my desktop this year, my 1TB SSD was split into 2 partitions, so I asked him why. He doesn't know the techy reasons but said it's for file organization and security since most purchases from his workplace are internet cafes looking for expansions. The partitioned space can be locked so the customer doesn't fumble around. I believe him, but to be honest, I think another reason is to trick the not-so-knowledgeable customers into thinking that they got multiple drives.
@KuntalGhosh Жыл бұрын
You can plug 6pin into 8pin and that would work better than pata to 8pin😂. If the gpu complains use a tweezer to short two of the remaining pins and that would bypass any protection.

Hey David I don’t know if u know this but there is a 3rd party Chinese graphics card, I don’t know the name but I think u can find it online or pc center in china.

Dawid should have picked up the RX 580 16gb model. Could have been the first to test it on KZbin.

Dawid, last time I went to the Shenzhen Market, I saw a 500 RMB system. around 70 dollars, brand new. Was very surprised

Please try and do this in South Africa because I'm so curious to see how much more we are paying for computers / laptops / PC parts etc etc because our country is gone to the dogs thanks to a particular group fueled by corruption 👍

We’ll be in South Africa in October so that video might very well happen!
@Blackadder75 Жыл бұрын
I don't get it, if you are in South Africa yourself you can already compare your prices with those in Europe or US , why do you need this guy for?
@jordannietos Жыл бұрын
You can easily find this information yourself lol. The USA will mostly always come out on top in terms of price. It's called trade protections
@AnnaDoes Жыл бұрын
Sure you can find the info yourself but it’s also interesting to see a goof like Dawid explore a market 😊

I used to hang around these electronic markets back then when I was a kid in huhhot, inner mongolia, china. When geforce 6600gt came out the boss of the store I visited alot tried so hard made hundreds of calls she cannot find one. After 2 weeks it came from Shenzhen, and I finally can play WoW at maximum settings. Sweet memories.

just so you know, the riot shield and other gears are there to tackle terriorst attack personnals. china does not have mass shooting problems as guns are illegal. but bad guys can still run around stabbing people with a knife, and these gears are exactly meant for these scenarios.
So what did you do with the system after? As in genuinely curious what you do with your amazing gaming systems after you have bought them, you travel with them ? Or sold it back ?

Leave pc gaming it's the end only cloud gaming is our future not pc or gpus . Consumer market will end. No laptops no hardware No consoles only cloud pc , cloud gaming, and phone's are our future .......
@cessnacitation-x Жыл бұрын
@@Noob._gamer Just because you're too poor to buy a decent PC and have to rely on crappy cloud gaming instead doesn't mean that we should all switch to it, or that it's our future. Because it's not, cloud gaming is awful.

Hey Dawid! Really great channel you got here. It has quickly become my #1 KZbin channel. Also a massive thanks for saving me 4000 dollar on a pre-built I was ready to buy. I did like you and ordered an old Optiplex and a GT 710 instead.
