Not just a perfect combination of Entertainment and Education, but a compelling look into the human condition. I have never teared up for a TED Talk or ever looked forward to a musical. Until now.

I think Tori should be appreciative of life. It's a great gift and should be used wisely. She survived by the help of others and I think one should have respect also for ones own life.

Would it not be the outmost respect for life to unlock the the dreams caged in ones heart, and follow them wherever they fly?

TheCakeAintNoLie Plus, I think TED is not the place to push your agenda and sell your product, in her case a musical. If it's just about the woman, leave out the references to your commercial venture.

hero is a person or character who, in the face of danger and adversity or from a position of weakness, displays courage or self-sacrifice-that is, heroism- for some greater good. Whats that greater good?
@melexdy9 жыл бұрын
David Munoz hmm I beg to disagree. We have a universal definition and an example that fails to meet the standards. Whats should the upcoming generations learn from this story?
@melexdy9 жыл бұрын
David Munoz Hmm I cant help think of this case being another gender equality situation.. Since its kinda a hot subject lately and all. Im not taking sides btw. I dont know sir, people have all kinds of causes and goals. Some seem more worthy than others and some get more publicity. But i wont be the judge of that.
@kouhaisempai48009 жыл бұрын
ΜετάΜουσικήςΜανία You could claim the greater good is inspiring others to accomplish their dreams. Just throwing that out there. :)

Her big passion was exploring? I don't see the connection between rowing the Atlantic and "exploring".
@callingtomars3869 жыл бұрын
By rowing the Atlantic, she was able to explore things she wouldn't have seen otherwise-the sea turtles, fish, other things. The days in the cabin opened her eyes to the heart and where the real passion lies. So, in simple words, Tori went to the Atlantic to explore the sea, as I think.
@ThiIsWhoIReallyAm9 жыл бұрын
PinkieTriesMC I don't think so. I think she explored herself more than anything else.
@Onodera19809 жыл бұрын
I thought exploring was discovering new things; new to humanity, not new to a single person. I guess I am an explorer by going to an aquarium.
@jamesbadham2284 жыл бұрын
@@Onodera1980 You have one idea of what the word means. It's a big word, and there is no one narrow definition. Exploring the unknown can be geographical unknown, psychological unknown, the unknown of resilience, physical ability, unknown limits of sadness, fear, bravery, tenacity. So, sure, you might be exploring in an aquarium if something there really challenges you to discover something new inside yourself that you find worth knowing. Now, go check out the jellyfish exhibit!

People who engage in stupid reckless behavior, their time usually runs out.... sooner or later. I cannot feel compassion for what I consider to be stupid and reckless behavior.
@onehellofafreak9 жыл бұрын
Well now, there's a positive, nonjudgmental approach to life! If this was what made her happy and fulfilled, why call it recklessness? I'm quite sure she knew the risk, but apparently it was important enough to her to try anyway and I think we can honour that as a life lived with ambition and courage rather than the shapeless, colourless, well preserved and airtight life you seem to believe we should aim for.
@irvingwood9 жыл бұрын
onehellofafreak Not me! By all means take risks, but with your own life, not other peoples'. And 'calculated' risks, not dead certs and slam dunks. Surely you can see the difference!
